I was very excited for TFA......now I just accept that this won't be very good.

i feel the same way- everything i've seen on it up to now is blah zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

hope it turns out much better than i think it's going to be

I have said this before.....I believe Disney is attempting to do an "evolution" of the Imperial vehicles. But it just comes off as derivative.

Something will be different about those walkers thou. I guarantee those front legs do something special. Not justifiably cool , just something.

What most fans want to see is original designs that are exciting and new. Thats the one thing I loves about PT. the new designs were pretty cool.

What I am hoping for is some radical new stuff like the speeder bikes, and skiffs.

Disney keeps things the same, they suck.

Disney changes things up, they suck.

Keep moving forward, but in a way that feels organic and true to what came before it.

Don't get why this is a hard concept for film makers to understand.

I think they understand it all too well...

Executing it is damn neat impossible....especially to SW nerds...

I think the problem people are having is that essentially designs that have failed in the past continue to be the basis for future machines and it begs the question, why not redesign entirely. The AT-ATs were effective but vulnerable, since these aren't just old AT-ATs laying around with a few new things the FO attached onto them but wholly new machines, why not think up something entirely new.

But when they do manage to pull it off; oh boy is it sweet.

Some quick examples are the original trilogy (Sans Ewoks), Back to the Future sequels, Terminator 2, and the 2nd half of Rogue One.

Supposedly this new version comes with a kick stand lol

I would have preferred a film about the Empire in shambles....acting like terrorist groups of elite forces. Perhaps led by some serious Dark Side users ....

They we could have seen some designs where they hobbled together some vehicles and ships.

Seems like the producers are more in charge than the art department., or they have a very lame art department.

George has a great art sense....and terrible writing and character sense....

The new crews have a much better sense of character , and writing.....but the designers are less than stellar. The best new design was Kylo and his saber.

Cause Ta OT must be copied down to the letter. Nostagia and fanboy whining. Anything new will make everyone cry and disney wants dat money.

See that's a good idea. Instead of an established empire you can have like the empire working underground making threats and spreading propaganda about the empire rising again. Then you can have powerful sith users try and follow Darth vaders lead and try and take back what's there's. It sounds really good. Not this whole, the first order all of a sudden gained a big death star out of nowhere and nobody saw this thing being built.

How on earth did that thing get built anyway. I understand how the empire built the death star cause they were in power and no one could stop them but the first order built a bigger weapon and by this time the empire had fallen and nobody seemed to notice this at all? Ok.

Yeah the certainly went the wrong way with the Empire.

It should've been exactly what you said, Empire playing the role of the small clandestine entity regaining power maybe just Snoke sneaking around like Golum lol.

With all the stuff going on with nazi it would of connected with folks alot if the empire was like "the empire will rise again" type deal. I really hope i'm wrong about this movie being just ESB light ripoff. If somebody important gets a limb cut off I'm walking out the theater lol.
