Glad you all like the idea.....someone should have consulted me about the script. I only would charge 100k for my screenplay.

Honestly , I think they were trying to show the Empire in shambles , and the first order rising from the ashes....they just appeared to rise pretty damn quickly. Especially having a super weapon already made.

They may have done a bit better showing some kind of alliance from another faction (similar to the Hutts) that allowed them to rise again. Perhaps even an element within the New Alliance that defected...

If somebody important gets a limb cut off I'm walking out the theater lol.

LOL, these movies are notorious for character losing limbs. Mr. Green lost some kind of limbs just watching it.

What would cement this next film is the death of some new characters.

Imagine Rey dies.....and Luke becomes the main hero again.....

We can imagine.

No thanks. I love me some Luke, but the natural progression of this story is for "Excalibur" to be passed down. The Lionheart must die so the legend can live on.

The future of SW rests in the hands of Kylo and Rey (The Greys).

The Lionheart still has life left in him.

I hate Hollywood's trend of making it so that anyone who isn't in their 20s anymore has to clear out and "pass the torch" down to the next generation.

Star Trek made multiple movies with the original cast. Why can't Star Wars do the same?

I think you're missing the point with what Disney is doing.

They want to guarantee future earnings with a new younger cast but to do that they first had to pay alot up front to bring in the OT cast.

They were definately running out of time look at Carrie.

Besides do you really want to see old farts doing full on action, Harrison was limping for christs sake lol grant it he was injured.

What I don't like is that in an effort to "insulate and protect" the OT story line they went and did a crappy job explaining away that 32 year gap.

I do not think they need to preserve the old cast to hand down the story to a new cast. And I do not think that mean the new cast should not be expendable. I think it would be a bold move to kill of Finn or Poe or even Kylo or Rey, so long as it furthered the story on a new and interesting way.

Granted it seems the best financial decision to move to younger actors, but honestly , Carrie did not die because she was older, she died due to drug abuse, an all too common problem this day WITH the younger crowd! Take a look at the death in recent years and you easily can see many of the were under 50.

I doubt any studio really thinks I this way when writing a story that much. I am sure the insurance agents working for them do.

Any one of these actors could meet their demise at anytime.

I believe after these 3 films Disney will toss the new actors aside for side stories and origin type stories.

It's cheaper to use totally new and relatively unknown talent. Does this mean the end of the serial SW films? No, but I think we will see new characters and actors every 3 films.

No one knew better about CF drug use than Lucas/Kennedy/OTCast they knew very well she could go at any second hence why all her scenes were shot first lol.

You know, its the 40th anniversary and i have not seen anything that much significant from star wars

What did you expect? The world shuts down for a week to celebrate?

Force Friday is one week away -- that's likely the extent of it, besides a lot of 40th Anni stickers on things.
