Rian Johnson: the dweeb that roared
Oh no bro I wasn't talking to you, it was that other dude who was trying to rag on the Anakin Obi battle, where as Rey and Ren are the most unforgettable characters ever. I apologize if you think I was talking about you bud. I agree they could have done better, but they killed it with the battles and darkness. Like I said the Dialog wasn't the best but this was by far the darkest most entertaining of the star wars universe. I just hate boring *** movies, and Disney knows how to make those type of movies. Plus I hate comic movies and Disney is always putting one out probably 2-3 a year. Same plot same crap!!! Only comic movie I ever like was the dark knight, Heath was such a bad *** character I have him tatted on me!! Well his character the joker. Anyways, Jaws happy holidays bud. I don't mean to offend anyone!!
I was just eyeballing that last line and trying to think what to do with it myself.

That guy tounge is not normal..maybe on Disney payroll. He even wanted to charge George Lucas with crime for the creation of Prequels and praised this abomination.
Dont even waste your time with him.
Bah.. Cinemascore
The Phantom Menace A-
ATOC A-
Revenge of the Sith A-
Seems like you would not put too much sock in Cinemascore. I think Rotten Tomatoes user score is more accurate.
Hell Spider-Man 3 got a B+
Agree 100%
I thought he went a little too far with his complaints
I liked this one..
That's not true though. It has a lot of cameos -- but honestly those targeted nostalgia bits are far less screen time than the PT (Vader, Obi-Wan, R2, 3PO, Alderaan dad, etc) or the ST (Luke, Leia, Han, R2, 3PO, etc). They are just really ANH specific, so its seems like a nostalgic crutch, granted the end dovetails into the movie that its a lead-up to.
Slowest most non exciting chase ever...
Not sure I get your Pro Choice comment..
I did not see any Trump or Hillary moment there..
Also.. Since when do these ships need a pilot?? There is no auto pilot? (we have seen it with the Falcon no?) No Droids to drive the ship?? Seems like even in a heroic death she was stupid.
But as always Khev it was a great read and I wish I saw the film you did.. You make great points just ones that I have a very different opinion on.
The dark side is too strong in me

You're doing an inventory of furniture while ignoring the wallpaper and the drapes.
Classic straight-from-the-OT design Star Destroyers, X-Wings, TIE fighters, Death Star, Blockade Runner, Rebel uniforms, Imperial uniforms, droids - all right out of ANH, right down to the Death Star Droid (multiple cameos.)
Nothing targeted about that. That's the comfort food that made RO a nostalgic feast. RO is set INSIDE ANH - and after seeing TLJ and the fears I have about Solo, I really hope we're heading to an ESB "hard prequel" set in the week before battle of Hoth. Because RO is the blueprint I want to see Disney follow.
So in short JAWS I've won you over on TLJ, lol. Obviously we can agree to disagree on most points but to indulge your question as to Luke's arc I found him to be right back in a classic Joseph Campbell Hero's Journey, with the distinct contrast that much of his journey was internal in TLJ compared to external in the OT. But almost every single step (Ordinary World, Call to Arms, Refusal of the Call, Meeting the Mentor, Crossing the Threshold, Ordeal, The Road Back, Resurrection, etc.) could practically be blu-ray chapter titles describing every one of Luke's scenes. Great stuff IMO that......I'll just concede was lost on you and leave it at that.
LOL! Oh come on, even you must admit that the excitement of watching Leia's ship inch through space just out of range of the FO had at *least* as many thrills and spectacle of Fury Road.
Just calling out the fact that I saw the "political messaging" as a wash and not worth either side getting worked up over.
Who thinks about autopilot or droids in a moment like that? She was watching the last few transports vaporize before her eyes man. You don't abandon your post to try and track down some wayward droid with piloting skills wandering the halls of that gargantuan ship, come on now.
I trust that you'll have a reverse "Skull Island" and once again realize just how wrong your first impression of a movie was. But I won't judge.
EDIT: Shoot you had a quote where you mentioned that the entire point of the Casino planet was to preach to the audience that simply being rich was "evil." Needless to say I didn't get that at ALL.
