is there good stuff on the GTN? the only thing i spend my currency on is buying skills and repairing my gear. any new gear i get from drops in the game

sweet ill just keep doing what ive been doing with my credits then. this game is great i cant wait to start the other stories after finishing the sith inquistor...oh and force storm = :rock:rock:rock

yeah, buying gear off the GTN is pretty pointless. buying gear off the Auction house in ANY mmo is pretty pointless TBH.
The only exception to this is if it's a customizeable piece, and you like the look.
The things WORTH buying off the GTN, are tradeskill components, vanity pets, and companion gifts.

if you REALLY need an upgrade, find a high-level friend to run a flashpoint or two with you, BEST gear almost always comes from flashpoints of your level.

I LOVE running lower level flashpoints for people on my Sith warrior. Social points, money, and I MURDER the mobs. Truly makes me feel like a powerful force-user.
Went back last night and ran hammer station with my wife. I'mm 33, and her BH is only 18. NOTHING could hurt me.

Yeah I'm not even going to think about buying stuff on GTN until i have all my bank slots and my speeder/class skills.

there are some good things to pick up from the GTN. sometimes i'll buy a decent relic for my companions. when i pick up a crafting skill, i'll prolly have to resort to using the GTN to find some stuff if my guildies don't have it. once you reach lvl 50 like me and do the daily missions and such, you'll have so many credits that you won't really know what to do with it. it's been a few days and i already acquired ~500k creds since hitting lvl 50.

Off topic.

I wanted to let some of you know (i know some here it's their first MMO) About LOTRO.

I know some of you would definitely love this game. It's free to play now, and if you ask me it's better than ever. The game is rich with content now going into 5 years (also a new expansion "riders of rohan" in the fall) And most of all the atmosphere is so immersive in this game it makes you feel like your in ME.(Best MMO gaming world i've ever played in) I say give it a try! I just wanted to let that out to some that may not know about it.

Anyways Sith Juggy still on tat.

Jedi shadow on taris

It's weird, I waited 3 years for this game, preordered the CE the minute it was put up, and played the beta to the max, but I haven't played this game since the 2nd. Once I got back from vacation I couldn't bring myself to play past level 30 (especially with all the Steam Winter Sale stuff I got). Anyone have anything that will convince me to hop back in?

I'm pretty hooked on Warzones right now. You think they'd be repetitive but they are just too fun when you have a decent team.

Finally broke down and started a second character last night. I just really need some money so I'm starting her to make her a slicer/treasure hunter and have her send the money to my main. Funny thing is her play style is SOOO much different than my main that I may get hooked on playing her more. :slap

I just cannot get into this game due to the dated graphics, looks no better than Jedi Academy and I cannot stand third person perspective...

That's not accurate by the way--it's got higher texture resolution, higher polygon counts and high quality shadows, none of which were in Jedi Academy.

The visuals are a visual style, not a lack of graphical quality. And if you want first person, just zoom in.

Aye ive got alot of different Alts and dont know wether i'm coming or going sometimes as theres so much to do.

The best bit for slicing now is selling the 300 and 340 crafting missions some go for nrly 30k each. If you get a crit (you get a mission as well as a lockbox) you can get an extra 1-5k on top of the cost of sending out your companion.

Yeah I've been mainly playing on my Inquisitor and while I'm at work and can't really play I just set my Agent's companions on slicing missions and let it run while I work. I've netted lots of credits and many crafting missions while doing it.

Finally started playing this game yesterday, level 8 Chiss Imperial Agent..

Just wanted to say that when I was using the random name generator, one of the names that popped up was "Analgogo"

:lol
