Anybody get theirs yet? I'm surprised there aren't more pics yet, but BBTS just shipped mine and I'm so excited right now. Can't wait to get this in-hand.

Mine arrived today. This is one of those figures that do not get any justice unless seeing it in person. My only regret is that I did not purchase more than one as this is going to be one expensive figure due to the quality and demand. I'm blown away at how great this figure looks and it's not even a HT or Enterbay brand figure. A pure 80's icon captured in 1/6 scale. This is the definitive Mike Tyson 1/6 figure I have been waiting years for. A+ to Storm Toys.

that looks amazing! Looks like you're using the sculpted gloves (instead of pleather), which I've read from other posts can look better.

I want to pose it similarly but with Tyon's arms/gloves up in a defensive or attack stance. But am afraid of the whole tearing issue.

I'm glad I bought two - one to pose with the belt and one for action (pending more testimony from other collectors about the figure's durability).

I didn't get 2 but i have the Olympic and the regular coming so I will utilize 2 poses with the body from the Olympic.

image.jpgHad mine posed with his right arm bent for a month now. I'm scared to have a look, but I will leave it another month and see if I have any rips. I'm gonna be pissed if it does. :(

I had a look at mine again. Another hole has appeared in the same arm, while the other arm is still fine.

The likeness on the Olympic sculpt in this lighting looks mint in these pics.

Those pics made the Olympic sculpt look way better than the regular, then I saw more pics from the same set, with the Olympic sculpt not looking as impressive in different lighting conditions. The link has a nifty interactive 360 degree look at the sculpt. Does it have a better likeness (rhetorical)? I'm curious what I'd see in person.

I noticed that guy scratched paint off the front of the neck already. Got to be careful with this one.

& watch out for the waist area. The faulty arm on mine I understand because of all the bending, but the waist? I guess it can't handle the power punch pose I had it in.

Hey Lawrence,

Are you twisting the joint or the actual waist? The unboxing photos from thetoyszone.com shows you can rotate at the joint 360 with no issues. Looking at your pics, Im assuming you are twisting the waist???

My understanding is that from others and online videos you can pivot the torso back and forth and a little left and right but no actual twisting of the waist at all, hence why you got the ripped waist.

Or did it tear because the torso was tilted to one side for too long and it pulled at the other side?

:lol I'm twisting it at the waist joint. You can see the hard plastic peek out a bit when you rotate it. I think the rubber is ripping away from the plastic part of the waist. Not sure how someone else is rotating the waist around a full 360 without issues. I get maybe (wild guess) a 30 degree turn each way, then it gets a bit hard to turn it, so I don't bother going much further.
and we thought the EB RM-X bruce body was bad.
:lol Not me. I think I was the only one defending it :lol It's still actually one of my fav 1/6 bodies I own.

Thanks for the info. Could part of the waist caught the hard plastic part as you rotated the torso? Like made a slice at the waist and then it became an open wound over time?

I know the head, hands and feet can cause paint rub if the part isnt lifted up before rotating. Worse can cause split if twisted very hard.

Just wondering did you twist the waist while Tyson had clothes on or without? Something that everyone could take as a guide from this.

Perhaps. I really don't know how it wound up like that.

I know I'm experimenting with the body, but I'm not purposefully being over reckless with it. I didn't twist it side to side quickly like I was making Tyson do real life punches, even though that would be cool :lol

Am I supposed to lift the waist before twisting? Not something I'm used to doing with other figures. I simply twisted it side to side without lifting.

Without clothes, because I don't even have my Tyson figure yet (already shipped from BBTS though).

I'm thinking it might be more weak glue than tearing rubber. Although I think a little tear happening now.

Hey Guys,

I'm thinking of selling my Tyson that I just got in from BBTS. Still in the BBTS original brown shipper and never opened. Not looking for anything crazy. PM me if interested.
