The mouth was what I noticed by far the most. The eyes I still think, at least on mine, turned out rather well. In the prototype there was far more detailed in the mouth, though, it seems. That being said, I'm very, VERY pleased with the Carnotaurus. It's such an amazingly menacing piece.

As to the Deinosuchus vs. T.rex pieces, I wasn't aware that they were by CM Studios. I'm a huge fan of their work, at least from what I've always seen in PT. Those Deinosuchus statues aren't in the catalog any longer. Anyone have an thoughts as to where one might snag these? Quite, quite impressive.

Try emailing or calling them. Charlie was going to sell me an older piece once before but I didn't have the cash.

Sent an e-mail last night. If there's a reasonable price I'd definitely be interested in one.

He said he would work me at the time, but it was for a kit, not sure if would same painted and built if that's what you wanted.

Read Sideshow's email today..they made it sound like the Styrac was already shipping..or at least starting to..?

I noticed something about the Carno yesterday while dusting, remember how in some pics the lifted foot looked lower ? I had thought mine was higher when I first put him up now it looked lower. It seems the foot in the ground can be shifted a bit and can alter the position of the raised foot by an almost imperceptible amount..but it is there. Doesn't look to be a defect and he does not seem to be in danger of falling either...just interesting..slight vibrations could cause the shift and scare other collectors...it def had me a bit worried. I'm already amazed at how some of these guys balance..the Rex vs Trike piece has me starring it at constantly waiting for the inevitable fall... heh heh

It's possible some countries outside the US will receive theirs earlier, yet again. For the time being, all I've seen is the 30 day notice.

It's also still listed under the "Coming in the Next 30 Days" section of the newsletter, so either they jumped the gun with the "just beginning to ship to homes" part, or it's arriving with international dealers now prior to the SS warehouse. Either way I'm excited to have this soon. Have to clear some more shelf space again. :wacky

I think I've got enough room for this guy. He's taking the very last spot I have left though. I think some things are about to be introduced to the business end of an ax.

I don't personally collect the weapons, but I think it's safe to say the Styracosaurus will be the most dangerous Dinosauria statue so far. If our statues come to life while we're asleep, that spiky ceratopsid will surely be the end of us all.

I don't know about that...I have some pretty vicious pieces around here...lol and the thing about herbivores like the Styrac is they need a good reason..I don't see him being much of a problem..it's all the predators around here eyeing me hungrily from their shelf tops, perches, and flora that really worry me...especially the dromeosaurs...they hunt in packs ! I'm just about Tenotosaur sized to em' as well. :(

My SSW Sauron statue would be the very first to rend me asunder, but fortunately I do collect weapons. :lol
