One thing I sort of regret is pre ordering the black chrome Batman. I would cancel but I flex payed and I have one payment left. What are the chances they let me take a full refund? I would rather get the Arkham Joker than the black chrome honestly.
I was all gung ho when the black chrome version went up, and preordered the first day. That's the first and last time I PO a figure before I see the movie. Fortunately the SS rep was nice enough to refund my NRD.

Even though I haven't liked the Joker's appearance I instantly loved this figure, waiting until I actually see his performance this time though. The likeness and details are fantastic. Plus in the future you could get the inevitable laughing sculpt to stick on there.

I, too, got a full refund for my black chrome figure. I decided I didn't need him since I had already ordered the regular version. I impulse pre ordered the black chrome.

Fifty five pages in already. I guess I missed that discussion about his tatts underneath?

Haven't seen any videos of the Hot Toys 'Base' as with other releases. I guess we will see the first footage on preview night (07/20* SDCC)?

I really hope we get another Joker and Harley soon. I say I'm not going to order another Joker until I see him with the silver jacket and purple shirt underneath but with Joker I cant help myself. I'm definitely limiting myself to the regular Harley costume and I *want* to pass on Batman if they make him again but if by chance he just so happened to have a Bruce Wayne sculpt then uh-oh my wallet is gonna be hot.

I'm one of those people that wasn't too bothered by the grille, and I actually liked the theory I saw going around that he had it because Batman knocked his teeth out. The tats were my big issue. I think the biggest part of it is that this version of the character was so close. Look at that last EW cover and compare it to the Alex Ross image of Joker and Harley; it's pretty much perfect, but that stupid "damaged" tattoo throws the whole thing off.

Totally agree, to me it screams too much, "Look kids its Joker extreme!" Of course we're rolling in on existing characters, maybe if they'd built a Batman mythos from the ground up we'd have some traction to his look other than "circulating backstories". Thats one thing that I really did not like about BvS, seeing all the Batman history I missed out on in the new universe. Sorry, I'd rather see Batman from the start again > Superman origin story.

They really rushed trying to establish a cinematic universe like Marvel and put their faith in Zach Snyder who made two meh movies, not that I didn't like MOS, but in terms of setting things up they weren't great.

They should have done 3 or 4 or 5 Origin story movies, then SS, then DOJ, then Batman 2, Superman 2 etc.... At least that's what I think would have worked better. At least we'd get an established Batman universe we know, rather then just thrown in the deep end and missing some good parts

It's a case of 'Damned if they do, damned if they don't"!
If DC had done the 4 or 5 movies, they would have been accused of copying Marvel – so they try to be different and they're still lambasted!
Personally I like what DC have done... let's face it, the characters (for the most part) are so well known, they don't need esablishing like the individual Avengers do... Everyone knows Batman and Superman! I also like that they've set a different tone for their universe... it's more realistic (if a CB can be such) and shows the consequence of these characters and the powers they have, as opposed to the MCU's which seems A-Team-like at times. Plus, if the DCEU and the MCU were to mirror each other for tone etc. the average movie goer would start to lose interest in the genre, and most likely would confuse the two universes – my missus, for example, neither knows nor cares that Batman and Spiderman are not in the same universe. It's like any genre... The Shawshank Redemption is a great prison film, but so is Stir Crazy... we need diversity in the genre or it will die!

I have been a fan of all their movies so far, and love the characters. I also really appreciate what they're trying to do as far as approach goes. That said, I think they should've used the Marvel-origin model on some characters before jumping head first into Justice League. While Superman and Batman are well-known enough to jump right into the action on, I feel like the rest of the team would've benefited from solo outings first. Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Cyborg, etc aren't quite as well known outside the comic reading community, I mean people know who they are and basics on their abilities, but their origins aren't too well-known by the general movie-going audience. I think I'd have preferred they do the origin route there and copy Marvel to that extent, but still keep the distinct tone that they're going for with Man of Steel and DOJ. Either way though, I'm just happy to finally be getting some DC films.
