After seeing this surprised we haven't seen A Harley Toy Fairs exclusive- she has several outfit changes in the movie- hmmmmm

I'll probably pass on this, but that sculpt is excellent and I will most certainly pick up a suited version with that same sculpt down the line.

I was certainly a hater of Leto's Joker at first, but while I am still not wild about the tattoos, I like that they are doing something different. I am willing to give him a shot.

And yes, I just watched one of the trailers and he must have at least five or six different outfits in that movie. I can see them exploiting that as much as they can.

The only gripe I have with this figure is that the hair is a too dark of a green. His hair should be a pretty bright green. Very minor gripe on an otherwise spectacular figure. The look of the new Joker has grown on me, and I've been excited for a HT figure of him. Glad we're getting one so quickly instead of, what, the year or so backlog they've got going now? :lol

Why do you always have such a hard on for Ledger Joker stuff Jeff? :lol

Leto has less than 10 minutes of screen time to make an impact in what is essentially an ensemble piece. Nicholson and Ledger have a half an hour to 45 mins of screen time and are pretty much the central point of their films.

Of course Leto isn't going to surpass them, that's why he made this version so extreme. The script gives him little to work with to be memorable.

And this headsculpt is better looking than all the Ledger ones Hot Toys has done. It's a way better exclusive than that over priced, Bank Robber 2.0 crap from 2014. Atleast this is new.

I don't understand how someone can make a film with the Joker in it and they can't make him memorable?
That's like having Jordan in your team and you can't make it to the finals :lol

They should have added the purple gloves and shock therapy equipment shown in the first teaser. That with the trenchcoat and cane would have made this more than worth it.

I completely agree. And that's why I believe Leto won't be able to leave the same impression on audiences like Ledger did. Also, I'm sure Ledger's untimely death played a huge role on how people viewed him during the movie.

This is a cool looking figure, but none of Leto's figures will ever come close to BRJ or DX1 or 11.

People doubted ledger when he was announced.

Actually, doubted is putting it mildly. That was nerd rage, petitions...

This cycle constantly repeats itself. Leto will make for a fine joker. Granted, none of us can make claims of him being horrible or good since the movie hasn't come out yet, but have a little faith. DC/WB know how much of an impact ledger made. They're not about to screw it up by slapping a random actor into the role. Leto is a fine actor and will bring something new and yet familiar to the table. Also, reimaginations and having different actors portray iconic characters isn't necessarily bad. It gives a fresh brand new spin on things. Eventually staleness sets in when something goes on for too long. Hell a good number of people are getting tired of RDJ as IM. I personally want him to be stark for as long as humanly possible. But it just isn't, and whoever they find next to take on stark is a scary but exciting prospect.

I'm not saying studios always make the right call (such as releasing the theatrical cut of BvS), but in terms of casting, I think they've done pretty damn good so far.

I love ledger as an actor and loved his take as the joker. For his last role, he went out like a king and will forever be remembered for it. But TDK trilogy went out on a bang and have left their cinematic legacy. It will forever have a place in our hearts. But fresh blood is always welcome.

Who knows, there's a chance Leto can outshine ledger. *shrugs*

So does this figure have a full rubber body? Is it like Hulk with the shoulder joints and rubber arms?

Seems to me that bending the rubber arms inside the straight jacket will eventually stress the rubber and elbows.

Hot Toys doesn't mean Toy Fair as in the Toy Fair, they use the term "Toy Fair exclusive" because it's going to be available to purchase at various toy conventions Hot Toys will be attending this year, which is a few of them.

Then there's the shirtless/purple coat with batman leggings and boots and my signature photo. Oh...and silver jacket with white shirt

"Toy Fair" is the collective term for all the summer toy shows. They make it sound like it's one specific show, but it's not.

Thanks and to Captain Clown too. I've never bought an exclusive so I wouldn't know whether it's exclusive to one or multiple events. They all end up on eBay anyway.

It isn't so much Leto as an actor I have a problem with. I think he's been in some great films but I just really feel like whoever was in charge of designing the look for The Joker in this film that's supposed to be part of a larger universe of films took way too many liberties with how he looks. I would have much preferred something more traditional for the first shared universe version of the character. Instead it looks like some Joker fanboy or cosplayer rather than the actual character.

I do like how this figure looks (mostly because his tattoos are covered for the most part) and think the sculpt is great. I really even like the outfit and the idea of a Joker in Arkham Asylum attire with the straight jacket. If this is priced reasonably I may consider it and if I really hate the character and film I'll just flip it.

nothing in the movie will ever convince me that his "damaged" tattoo isn't full-on CRINGE.

hope they get rid of it for his next appearance.

Okay, here we go:

(Same Arkham pants minus the trench coat and added a purple latex glove. Look 2 appears to be from him escaping or assaulting Arkham)

The amount of variants they could do could very well put Iron Man to shame.
