When I saw this yesterday via email, I almost fell out of my shoes.
I have passed recently on several things that have really resonated with me, including CotD's Cleopsis, a statue I really want but my my gawd, I don't have room. After much thought, I passed on Pfeiffer Catwoman, another I really wanted and the owner pix have been fantastic! I wont bore you with the rest. Wanted.... but didn't quiettttee pull the trigger on. Little did I know: I was actually waiting for this, and I'm glad I waited. Now I wont lose any down payments.
Unfortunately my recent $50 coupon had expired. [And did they plan it like that?!] But no worries, I used reward points and got her down under $500. Which helps, but still.... OUCH
For $520-530, the jacket needs real gold embroidery, I am sorry, it does. But I can get past that. I can only imagine how much the licensing cost for this.
When I first saw this costuming, I was one of the first to say "UGGGHHHH!" but I keep buying this girl in different formats.... HT gave us crazy and fun [and cant wait to get her and pose her with J!] but this is a serious, badass Harley and she is beautiful to boot. No she is not a Margot clone. I don't need her to be: delightful as Margot is, I am buying this because I am a *HQ* fan and this is a lovely piece. For Margot clone I will have the HT version.

The same reaction I had to the P1 (wow, we also wavered on the same pieces with Catwoman and Cleopsis, who would've been my first COTD member!)LOL and OF COURSE they planned for the coupon to expire before the SDCC reveals. grphyx1 and I were discussing this and speculated it was to help clear stock precisely before the new stuff made everyone start hoarding cash for new POs.
At least it'll give us some more Ivy and Catwoman. The latter is my favorite villainess, but the sheer variety of Harley releases have since outnumbered pieces even I own of her. It's like waking up every morning feeling deserving of shame as a fan.
Yo, we will get HT Harley, Ivy and Catwoman, at least one of each and maybe more than one. Then, we will get a PF for each character. We are gonna be busy bees! Busy, CROWDED bees. I need to work some magic for Freaks everywhere:

530 a joke for the statue- does a jacket cost that much more ?
I want it and think it looks great but how many Harleys can one take? Got five versions of her I own plus Prime 1 statue on order. This design has been run into the ground and since SSC 's version is the latest it will suffer with this price point
Since I only collect PF's this is the only one I care about and was waiting for.

But these pieces are all different! I bought the DC 1/6 statue because of sheer awesomeness, and then the HT because I wanted to pair her with Joker and then the HT Prisoner version Harl mainly because it has accessories I want, and now this PF shall be their Queen. Each has a different facial expression and I need them all.
....Right?
This is no different from people who feel a need to own 1000 Stormtroopers.
Sideshow did a really good job on this one but for $550?? Wowzers... it's more then armored Batman and it's nearly half the size..

In cases such as this I don't think the size of the statue matters to Sideshow, just how much they can/should charge because of costs, licence and popularity.

It looks great indeed! I am thinking of picking this up. I don't pick too many statutes but something this nice coming along already triggers me... she does look exactly like Margot. So does the ht one. Both are awesome but this statue has more presence in my view

This is an appalling price, true. I will not argue otherwise. But actually, I am not unhappy about the size. There were a few reasons I passed on the P1 Harley, and the first was the size. [Second, price: I am not paying a *grand* $500 bad enough and third: I find her pose very meh. But, different strokes...] Space is at a premium and I really don't dislike the idea of smaller pieces. I also dislike the trend of putting smaller pieces on GINORMOUS bases, this idea should die in a fire already. Maybe I don't WANT a piece to weight 20+ lbs....?
But the price should follow suit, I DO kinda feel that.

Well given the expression, her eyes should be much larger and that's the major thing that is off with this piece as they are too small, which I find ironic since the sculpt is some what based on this expression. Although instead of a full blown smile she has more of smirk.
Also her nose is a bit too narrow as well. Can't tell if the face shape is right, due to the Bangs covering up parts of her face on the portrait.

I think it looks real good but I'm not going to get suckered into pre-ordering this one... I've been burned to many times by SS factories, going to wait and see what the production versions look like before buying.

Exactly, I don't see these statues moving very fast at $500 a pop.
Price is high, this will put people off. I therefore see a small edition size in my crystal ball, and when owner pix start and she immediately sells out, or has already sold out there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. C'est la collecting!

Given that $500 seems the new Sideshow standard price for recent preorders, eventually collectors will get used to it.
