I need more women in my collection......The pose is good (actually I love it), but the head sculpt could have had an more exaggerated expression. May wait for this, to see what I can get of coupons on it.

Face looks good. Surprising if SS can actually deliver like in foto.

I actually like the smirk a lot more than the manic Hot Toys or Prime 1. Those seem over exaggerated and comical, whereas the Sideshow PF has an expression that feels accurate to the movie. The eyes look great too and I think that's a big part of the success of this one, at least based on the prototype.

But harley quinn is exaggerated and comical?

Sure, she is, but she rarely looks like that in the movie. She usually has that crazed smirk on her face and is a little more sinister than the cartoon. Now, the jester outfit Harley's, the more comic and cartoonish, that look usually works better, but for the live action version, I prefer what Sideshow did here.

The expression works for me as a companion/contrast to what I suspect will be a more manic and gleeful Joker portrait. Same with the pose, which I don't think has enough presence on its own to justify the price tag, mixed media intricacies aside. Then again, I have the PCS Chun Li variants on order mostly for the tailoring differences, so maybe I'm talking out of my ass.:lol

I share HeubertMichael's confusion over the lack of embroidered jacket--which would've been easily readable at this scale by comparison--and am concerned the production fishnets will be engineered like Black Canary's with the seam hidden in a way that cuts into the sculpt. As fascinating as I found that method as an experiment, it was a shortcut and not the most flattering choice given the selling point of that pose.

One thing I do know is, like darkavatar mentioned, these prototype eyes are already too small, similar to the Jyn Erso PF that I otherwise love. The bangs framing her face are what's keeping her likeness in place IMO, but the issue detracts from the resemblance at other angles, which make me feel like this is more a stylized interpretation of Robbie than a straight movie piece. Like the Ledger Joker PF, I'm totally fine with that and think that makes this piece different and definitive in its own way. I'm considering it, but only once in-hand photos surface.

Just reviewed this and really wanted to order but Why are the movie statues so much smaller than the comic renditions?

She is literally a head under the original HQ PF. If it was any where closer in size, I would have purchased my first non comic PF.

I think real people just aren't that tall proportionally to comic book renditions. Margot is 5'6" so she's pretty damn short. They could make the base uber tall so that the overall statue is taller but I don't think that's a good solution at all. I'm actually fine with the size...its still 1/4 scale. My issue is with price. I know there are a lot of details on this piece but I honestly don't think it should be $530.

Great point! that there is an actually number 5'6" to scale to. But these boards have always pointed out that the comic versions are "Large" 1/4 statues. If I am ever tempted by another movie statue to pair this with on it's own table, I will go hunt down an exclusive for my wife, great piece!

Short base. If the base is 2" high, that makes the figure 17", or 5'8. If the base is 3", that makes the figure 16", or 5'4. So yeah, if the base is 3" high or taller, than she's too short, but if it's 2", then 5'8 sounds about right to me.

I definitely see your point, though. This piece seems short even compared to other SS movie statues. It's 3" shorter than the Pfeiffer Catwoman.

As long as it's not shorter then the TDK Joker and Bale Bats, then it'll be fine. Maybe :dunno

Seriously? You think they mean for it to be a stylized interpretation? Like the Ledger joker was stylized? So, are we going to start calling everything that falls way short of movie likeness "stylized" now?! Apparently, I didn't receive that memo. I have been working under the naive assumption that studios were trying their best to replicate an actor's movie appearance. But now that I know better, I am going to resume forking over my money to Sideshow because they have been creating "stylized" movie based statues all along. Thank you. Now I also can start calling these pieces so "definitive" "distinct" so different in its own way. It's starting to work. It really does make swallowing mediocre crap a lot easier not to mention it makes me much less remorseful paying for said crap.

530 a joke for the statue- does a jacket cost that much more ?:lol

I want it and think it looks great but how many Harleys can one take? Got five versions of her I own plus Prime 1 statue on order. This design has been run into the ground and since SSC 's version is the latest it will suffer with this price point

This is at least the second time in three responses to you where I'm compelled to use this: :cuckoo:

I'm glad I didn't start my comment the way I initially intended, which would've been to say I was actually more in agreement with you regarding the likeness than the consensus on here seems. But just when I thought you'd chilled out after admitting to losing it in on the Prime 1 thread . . .

Didn't mean to come off like a crazy rant...

. . . I noticed your tone on this one being just as unnecessarily confrontational with others, so I didn't want to further encourage you.

First off, I wouldn't have mentioned my criticisms of the portrait to begin with if my post was intended to apologize for it. That said, to address your point, yes, there are stylized movie pieces. Did I say this was one? No. I said it worked as one. The Prime 1 piece is obviously not a stylized piece, which is why I engaged in a healthy debate with darkavatar over the accuracy we both saw, but less so in his well-argued opinion. However, both of us recognized a point where the fun was waning and agreed to disagree.

I can think of few things easier than not spending hundreds of dollars on a collectible I find lacking. Your post makes it seem like Sideshow is guilty of stealing the valuable time you're wasting by ranting on here by the sheer act of producing the statue.

I agree and have also unexpectedly accumulated quite the Harley collection in the past year or so. I don't regret any of my purchases, including the Prime 1 (congrats, btw), but I now find myself skipping ones I really do like from Mondo, Tweeterhead, DCC, etc. I don't begrudge anyone paying the asking price for this if they think it's worth it, but Sideshow literally trademarked "premium format" for years of mixed media statues (the $360 comic Harley still holding up as one of the best in IMO.) When they continue switching the goal post from "oh, ___ statue was really big [but simple]" to "oh ___ statue was really complex [but small]" to justify prices that increase almost quarterly, I tend to doubt giving the collector the best bang for his/her buck is that high a priority. In fact, I'd argue they price these to the absolute max for diehard fans, knowing they can incentivize everyone else with coupons after the ES is set. I'm guilty, although I didn't use the $50 mail-in or the 10% off offers I recently received precisely because I know these pieces will be found cheaper down the line.

When I saw this yesterday via email, I almost fell out of my shoes.

I have passed recently on several things that have really resonated with me, including CotD's Cleopsis, a statue I really want but my my gawd, I don't have room. After much thought, I passed on Pfeiffer Catwoman, another I really wanted and the owner pix have been fantastic! I wont bore you with the rest. Wanted.... but didn't quiettttee pull the trigger on. Little did I know: I was actually waiting for this, and I'm glad I waited. Now I wont lose any down payments.

Unfortunately my recent $50 coupon had expired. [And did they plan it like that?!] But no worries, I used reward points and got her down under $500. Which helps, but still.... OUCH

For $520-530, the jacket needs real gold embroidery, I am sorry, it does. But I can get past that. I can only imagine how much the licensing cost for this.

When I first saw this costuming, I was one of the first to say "UGGGHHHH!" but I keep buying this girl in different formats.... HT gave us crazy and fun [and cant wait to get her and pose her with J!] but this is a serious, badass Harley and she is beautiful to boot. No she is not a Margot clone. I don't need her to be: delightful as Margot is, I am buying this because I am a *HQ* fan and this is a lovely piece. For Margot clone I will have the HT version.

The price on this frickin' hurts. I am still all :rock2 :rock2 :rock2 about it. Thank you Sideshow!!
