I was thinking about the classic core character last night before I went to bed. Trying to figure out who I thought it would most likely be and the Emperor and Vader where the two most glairing characters that came to mind.

Classic core characters for a two-pack but if it's a two-pack that comes from the PT I could see with the focus of army building releasing a two-pack of federation droids.

I mean the classic character that's in demand could be Palps or Vader. The two pack I'm thinking the Red and Blue Royal Guards.

That's an interesting idea---- but alas they're not on the top of my list to acquire.

I'd like obviously at the top:

1) R2-D2 & C-3PO (ANH)
2) Lando & Lobot (ESB)
3) Nute Gunray & Rune Haako (TPM)
4) Federation droids (PT)
5) Greedo & any of the Cantina aliens-- but maybe particularly Walrus Man (ANH)

I think price has to factor into this too. For a 2 pack you're talking at least $140. They better be characters that people are willing to shell out that much.

And does anyone think Medicom could pull-off doing a 1/6 Chewbacca?

R2 and 3PO are my top 2 pack choice but I wouldn't mind the guards at all. They'd be kind of cool honestly.

I'll betcha the two pacl is either Lil' Ani & C3PO (without armour) or I dunno... Something else, someone has mentioned...


As for what the "highly anticipated core character" could be... I have no doubt that its either Vader or Palpatine. No. Doubt. Whatsoever.

Ilum Padme is the only 'EU' character planned for the immediate future.

They said they want to make all the characters from the Poll thats why they were on the list. And we were supposed to pick Assaj.

I think price has to factor into this too. For a 2 pack you're talking at least $140. They better be characters that people are willing to shell out that much.

I think that's why Lando and Lobot are a good choice for the OT two-pack. Everyone wants a Lando from Bespin--Lobot might be more of a serious collector's choice--- Therefor you put a so so way secondary character with one of the main guys in his most iconic outfits... price tag maybe $100. Everyone wins.

The core character surely has to be Vader. They should be able to make him now, especially if they are ready to give us Boushh and if they have altered the bodies.
As for the PT 2-pack, how about ROTS Palpatine and Sidious???
And chewie - please give us a sculpted, if fur is not an option.

An ROTS Palpatine would almost certainly need two heads, ala Ventress.

Thats exactly what I was thinking, although the two-heads option is probably more likely.

The two head option is great for the mauve coloured gown that Palpatine wears prior to and after the fight with Mace--- but what if the other 1/6 of the two pack was the Emperor from his battle with Yoda in dark black robe?

"Mace Duel" Palpatine and "Senate Duel" Sidious. Although, I would still like to see an alternate "scarred" head for Palpatine, since I do like that appearance as well.

If we get a Scarred Sidious/Emperor Palpatine, I want classic ROTJ, end of ROTS black Sith robe Palps, as cool as some of his wardrobes are, that's the one image that will always come to mind first, that black robe with highlights of his disfigured face pearing out as his forked tongue manipulates those around him.

I think they'll do a two pack only for figures they feel won't sell well as singles. They had alluded to this when they discussed the perception of such a small figure as Yoda being sold at the same price point as a figure 66% bigger. Ewoks, Jawas astromech droids or even background characters like Weequay and Nikto. I wouldn't be surprised to see Yak face and Ree Yees.
