I was thinking they would do a 2-pack for characters that won't sell well alone.

I'm not trying to be a smartass - but Bubo sold out so fast that I missed getting the exclusive. What 2 characters wouldn't sell well enough alone?

A good point for sure, but there's not telling what the regular edition numbers are, Bubo could be tanking but for the Exclusive edition, plus, Bubo goes with a pre-existing setup, I bet it would have sold less if there weren't the whole Jabba package to join it with. So to sell a 2-pack on the idea that neither would sell individually would apply to characters that would be fairly separate from the rest of the lineup and wouldn't draw attention because of that fact.

The best example would be the Endor Troops, who were kind of anonymous. I think when it comes down to the $60 + shipping tag, will Lobot sell out? Yak Face or Weequay? Walrusman or squid face?
Personally I think they will do well, but what does SSC think will sell?

I've said it before and I'll say it again--- Lando and Lobot.

Of course I remember from CIV coverage that they said the first two-pack was going to be from the PT...

I was the one who asked that two-pack question about which set of films it was from...the OT or PT...and they all looked at each other and then Brant, who replied "The Prequels".

Now I'd love it if it were Nute & Rune simply because their costumes are so elaborate and courtly, it will be fun to see how well Sideshow tackles them...the more elaborate the outfit, the more interesting the figure (hopefully)and we do have that mechno-chair coming(and if it is Nute, I hope we get the "chair" part as an accessory)...and during that Q&A another person asked why SS wasn't putting out more core characters quickly instead of jedi that barely had any screen time or lines and the panel's response was something along the line that Kit Fisto sold out in 20 minutes so people must like and want those characters (WE DO!)...so that gives a little more hope that the Nemoidians may see the light of day.

But I can't help thinking (and hoping) in this 30th anniversary year if that two pack pair is the droids....they are in both sets of films after all and unless you want to include accessories like cargo nets, ewok capture nets, ewok throne/litters, assorted attachments (for R2) and the like, they really don't have any accessories to speak of and would really be great sold as a pair.

I also remember them commenting specifically that Chewie was a long way off (the hair issue) and that armored characters (Stormies/Clones/etc) were "in development".

Hopefully SDCC will shed some light on the question...
