So...Mark OSR from Facebook's one sixth republic group got to ask Howard a few questions. One of them was about whether or not "the bat" would be going into production.

According to Mark, Howard said "they are still thinking about it, but the Bat won't be going up for order anytime soon because of the cost and space requirements."

Take that as you will

i expected this to happen the cost will be to high for people .

TDKR is gking to big huge .. By miles and hot toys have made all the line .. On 1/6 ... Even the tumbler camouflage ..

Why wouldnt they make the Bat .. Its will be a money making machine ..!!

I agree! Plus it's one thing to cancel something never having shown people anything. It's another thing to show it in your display, backstage passes, etc.. and then say we're not doing it

Sure, a lot of people said it's awesome and epic

but not really a lot are expressing a commitment to buy it

I'm certain only the Batman diehard with money and room (that combination exactly) will be purchasing this thing.

Yeah HT is cautious on this one. Could be like a $1500 area in price and they know they aren't going to sell that many. I think it will be made but not for 1-2 years.

I'd say they'd be smart and get a final prototype completed and release the official specs and Pre-order. Get a feel for how many to make before making any determination on a final production run, or maybe rough ideas of what else to do/add (if anything). It's not like they've released specs and PO and the official release wasn't for another year or two on any products before.

HT is smarter than a lot of people give them credit for. They do listen to valid complaints and make final tweaks/add accessories to products before release. Most people that complain HT doesn't listen are the ones who get upset because HT never took into account their pissy-*** rants on here or FB. They're a company that offers products to the masses, they can't please everyone.

If I had the space for this, I'd be all over it. I actually showed a pic of this to my wife and she said "if you get that I'm going to beat you with it!" Ain't love grand?

If it's $2000, then it's almost 4-5 times the cost of the tumbler. Which one will look more impressive? 1 bat, or 4-5 tumblers? You decide.
