It is a unique ID, I like it!
When I was a administration I would see that used all the time.
Lol.
Seriously, though, i only registered here fairly recently, and i must have spent an HOUR going through cool, geeky, scifi character names and they were ALL TAKEN...
I had a similar problem on eBay(My handle there is All_The _Good_Usernames_Are_Taken!), and i even tried THAT username, but it was too long for the forum software...
Eventually, tired of seeing USERNAME written there, TAUNTING me, i tried that.
And found that my thought process was at least semi-unique.
Thanks Ben. Was your normal username taken here?
I bet.
I normally go by the username *Bar* on forums.
As before, I think it was either taken or too short for the forum.
I always find it interesting to hear how people settled on their usernames.
Usually there's a good story.

As for the kit...
I have come up with a very novel and(If i dare say so myself), clever solution to making more than one. When i get the first hull in my hands the pic itself will blow everyone away(I've done this a lot before, and what i imagine in my head is close to how it will happen).
My original idea was to make one from styrene just for me.
But with the possibility(However slim) that people would want a build also, i had to think about how to make parts that were exact each time. Making them from scratch even for three would be a killer.
I won't bore everyone here with my method, but i have an idea in mind to be able to have the entire hull and most of the panels in lightweight styrene via vacforming. And my breakdown will have the entire hull as one piece.
I'll still need an alu understructure which will mount the tail to the lobster arms as one piece to make sure there is inherent strength there. I have a metal fabrication shop close by that has done work for me in the past. They are not cheap but their work is good.
With their contribution, the tail will support the weight of the craft so it can be sat on it's "landing gear".
Possibly the hardest part to envision for me is the rotor hub assembly, but i have a design in my head already(Whether accurate or not, it's not actually an issue, as it will be hidden in the structure). I will mock up the shape in styrene then cast that, and drill the resin copy to install the bearings for the rotors and the gear driven mast. I might be able to source engineering parts from model helicopters for the main parts but i will get info on that later in the build. I have a friend who owns an R/C store and he is an expert on helicopter parts.
Of course i won't rule out the fact i might have to scratchbuild that stuff also. As that will all have to be fitted to the hull later, i will try not to think that far ahead right now. I am juggling about a hundred parts in my head for this build.
In any case, as for a "kit".
Although i could technically get all the parts i was going to assemble myself and bundle them in a box with a set of instructions(And i will offer that if anyone wants it), it will be a big job assembling it all.
I know there will be many up to the challenge. But i know there will be a lot of people who would go pale at the thought of a box with 200 pieces in it that they have to assemble themselves...
And if anyone would prefer the option of a kit, i can work out how much that would cost after the first build.
I have a feeling this thread now belongs to Username....unless the HT cancellation turns out not to be the case.
Good luck Username!
This HT cancellation really sucks. I was really looking forward to the Bat. I'm actually surprised at the fact that they believe this is too expensive and too large for collectors.
There's no denying that it's huge, but that hasn't stopped QMX from making a limited run of their models.
Honestly if you pull this off it will be etched in 1/6 legend forever
I
Now I am known as the fake chef. I cook at people homes. And take care of my daughter.
I have no story. I literally just randomly started hitting keys. It works.
Username, maybe after The Bat you can move on to the Quinjet
Lol.

So has this been cancelled?
