My advice to you would be to go see the 1st Terminator movie.
Sure I can tell you, however, the movie explains things much better than I can. ;)

I loved this movie, thought it was better than T2 even :)

There was one guy who said he thought it was the best Termiantor movie so far out of all of them on Facebook too.

wow, trollin' much?

you can't be serious?...I really wanted to like this film but the whole thing for the most part was too contrived and lacked all substance...I did like the Marcus character and i really wish they would have not shown him as a "machine" in the trailers because the reveal would have been much better and a nice surprise for movie goers but instead we get a lousy CGI Version of Arnold and all sorts of reused Terminator franchise visuals...the "i am going to kick your ass" head turn was used 3 times in this...the "come with me if you want to live" and "i'll be back" could not have been delivered any worse!...oh and G n' R's "you could be mine" really?? could have done without that...all in all i enjoyed it as a popcorn flick, but anything else would be silly...it doesn't even beat T3 to me...what were like 5 actual Terminators in this? all seemed like silly puppets to me with the exception of the T-800...i say 2 out of 5 stars.

so in closing, Never send a Music Video Director to do a Motion Picture Director's job.

i just saw this yesterday and i thought it was pretty good. i am not a die hard term fan or anything, but i enjoyed the point of view from marcus and how the t800 first came into existence. after seeing all of the movies i think this one was just as good as t2, t1 i do agree seemed more like a cerial killer kind of movie and didnt really appeal to me too much and t3 was a little too corny, but still liked it. the ending of t4 was very good, and i look forward to seeing another film being made. all i need now is some SS endos :monkey5

this is a good post. And I agree.. T1 is deffinatley the best as far as making the Terminator the killing machine it can be. T2 and Salvation are on the same level IMO.. both were great, both had minor flaws. T3 doesn't exisit in mt book. ;)

reading some of the comments here, i can understand why wolverine opened to a $85 millions weekend, and why michael bay keep making movies.

So we aren't aloud to have our own opinions? Not everyone likes the same ^^^^ everyone else does on this board...its funny how in that SF thread everyone is making fun of it..but in reality they are right..no one can have their own opinion on this board if its against the masses

did i say that? hey be my guest, speak freely.

i do.

My point is, the movie was good until people started talking too much. Just when the dialogue started getting really bad, the action would kick in and save us from cringing ever more. Now I may have been wrong about calling the dialogue cheesy, not all of it was cheesy. What I really ment was that it was awkward and felt unnatural. One of the examples of awkwardness was when Kyle was asked his name, he replied "I'm Kyle Reese" Now why did he introduce himself as "Kyle Reese" and not just Kyle?? It felt forced and awkawrd.

Now it wasn't like this all the time, just half of the movie. I did really want to like this movie. I actually told myself half way through it that it wasn't as bad as people are saying. But then, we get to see Sky Net and connor's infiltration of it. No security. No explanation. Scenes cut to all hell. It was just all down hill from there, for me.
that's cool. thanks for explaining.

ha! compared to what? other terminator movies?
we're talking about scifi action arnold flicks here. how much "substance" are you seeing in a semi tuck chasing arnold on a motorcycle?
and don't even get me started on "contrived". cameron got sued by the guy who originally came up with the idea like 30 years before t1 was filmed.
