This is why MMS136 is probably my favourite Hot Toys figure. It was never made before and truly **** knows if or when it'll ever be made again. And while I won't say they totally knocked it out of the park on the first attempt they did do a very good job.

It's THE quintessential Terminator figure to own imo. It's far from perfect and has a handful of inaccuracies, but it doesn't matter because it looks so badass.

I also have the T-1000 Sarah Connor that I never knew I would like, the overall look of the figure is quite striking.

I had to sell my MMS136 and T2BD Deluxe this year.
Hard times, hard decisions... My collection feels naked without them. :(
Sellin' MMS238 wasn't as painful.

Sellin' MMS238 was as painful at all.

The Tech Noir look is probably my least favorite T-800 look in the franchise, but of all the 1/6 Terminator figures I ever owned, it was the best. I'd had the Sideshow figure, which was a joke, MMS117 and MMS 136. There was just something about MMS136 that made it an amazing figure and made me love it despite loving T2 look more.

Skynet should send hundred of T800s and T1000s back to 2015 for Kathleen Kennedy and the rest

Nope!

1/6 only :lecture

Funny I was just looking at T-1000 Sarah the other night - the one I have displayed as the figure was marketed - T-1000 disguised as Sarah with the feet melded into the grated floor - and thought I'm really glad to have that represented. From back when it felt like Hot Toys thought these releases through - going for the clever angle of the T-1000 in disguise, thus bringing more features.

Come MMS238 it was like they just didn't care anymore. They completely forgot about the eye-surgery scene, any scene before he starts taking gunfire at the police station for that matter. Not possible with that figure.

Going back to MMS136 - I tend to forget that the stock figure had incorrect beige pants and those big ugly boots. So that was something that had to be corrected later with the pants and boots from MMS238 - but once done, that figure is so close. It's pretty much only the headsculpts that hold it back from perfection. They share the same problem as the MMS117 in having that squashed look to the face but for some reason I never found it as bothersome here as I did on the T2 figure. Still, it's an inaccuracy to Arnie's likeness so I can't call it perfect. My personal choice would also have been to sweep his fringe more to the side because it usually was more sideswept in the movie than the figure has it. The proportions and general shape to the figure are - to my eyes - nailed. However this may have been a happy accident because MMS238 demonstrated that they either didn't have a clue or didn't care. Thankfully the Tech Noir look got through looking just right.

I recently did some fat-trimming of my collection - I actually eliminated some variants that I had, including some T-800s and T-1000s that had started to seem a bit unnecessary/excessive. My collection had just been looking so over-crowded even by my shoddy standards of display - figures were standing side-by-side, arms almost touching, figures hidden behind other figures and so on. I couldn't take it anymore. But anyway what I couldn't bring myself to do was to get rid of any of my T1 Tech Noir variants - because every one of them looks too cool and feels too important.

:gah::(

I remember them teasing a 1/4 Police Assault, but never the Tech Noir. When was that?

You're right it was only ever the Police Station Assault version - they did have the MMS136 in that picture with the chrome Endoskeletons though, maybe that's what shells was thinking of. Either way though, bastids for not following through. It's like they saw that they had killed Enterbay and then said ''oh, we don't need to make this now''

I have actually customized my T-1000 Sarah in disguise. I liked the figure but thought it was a missed opportunity by hot toys not to include some more damage like the hole in her body. So I did it myself recently. Took some more photos and will upload them soon, but here's a preview of when I was working on it:

btw, is there some kind of topic to post your 1/6 terminator collections and customizations? I feel these photos are spreaded everywhere in different topics.

I don't think it was a missed opportunity, T-1000 Sarah was a cash grab figure. They released the first one with pony tail that drove die hards crazy because she hardly looked like that in this outfit, so then to justify a second figure that was nearly identical with just a new head, they included bits to call it T-1000 disguise, which also justified including a bonus T-1000 head and make more money off essentially the same figure. It was intended mainly to offer a Steel Mill Sarah Connor but marketed to ensure it sold.

I know. :monkey2

Maybe one day, when I have my own house and good work, I'll re-buy these figures.

That's where I'm at right now, times forced me to sell off a lot in the past, and I'm slowly recovering things that meant a lot to me or that I had to pass on when they were new because I couldn't mange it. I had a huge HT T2 collection that I had to sell off ultimately, at the time i was ok with it because I had the Enterbay T-800, then I had to sell that and then I couldn't afford the Enterbay BD T-800 when it came out, last year I was finally able to buy that figure with my work bonus and the satisfaction has made me get over the past, likewise I had to sell off a highly customized DX06 Jack Sparrow that meant a lot to me and now I'm buying the DX15 with upgraded parts and I'm able to assemble the custom bits I did to DX06 again and even customize them better than before.

It's tough giving up something you invest not only money but a piece of yourself into, but luckily in this hobby, there are often chances to recover those losses and sometimes even come out in a better place than you were.

Looks great! I had the original Sarah but I didn't liked the head as much as the T-1000 Disguise version. I guess my real gripe is that she's shorter compared to more modern 1/6 bodies.

As for this thread, anything goes. People have posted their customs, posters, Terminator-candy bars- whatever you want.

Eh, you'll get them back eventually. I've sold a few HT figures when I was struggling in 2012, re bought them much later when things got better. There's always some for sale somewhere.

Don't worry, there is always one floating around that's for sale from what I've seen.
Here's hope that currency exchange won't be 100 rub per $ in the future. :lol

Speakin' of... NO ONE wants to buy my oldschool T1BD custom. :D
It's original figure reworked by me and VR, with old Xenovipers resculpted head.

I've dicided to keep him and DX10 around.
Don't wanna have just one Terminator figure.

Who here picked up Terminator 2 in 4k? I'm curious what everyone thought of the release.
