Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

The trailer was ok, I prefer more serious and dramatic trailers. Not a fan of trailers with rock music and jokes filled in it.

I just can't take the trailer seriously. But a trailer is just a trailer.

:dunno:dunno:dunno

I'll give you the rock music, but those jokes were more like very well written lines from a director known for that and they were written specifically for very talented people who can actually pull them off, meaning RDJ, and hopefully the others can keep up or play off him very good, which it seems they can.

If you're not on the RDJ as Stark boat by now then this movie is going to piss you off because we now have a director who knows how to take RDJ humor even farther, so me thinks based on the trailer.

I wouldn't change anything in that trailer other than the rock music, simply because I'm a huge fan of orchestra/chorus music for films.

If anything, the orchestra/chorus music would've been a nice contrast to the awesome humor on display.

This movie will be a very nice opposite of TDKR darkness me thinks, both movies will own next summer.

Did I mention that RDJ is a GOD and my wife would leave me in a second for him :lol

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

What struck me about the trailer was it was Iron Man/Tony Stark front and center. He is the dominant actor and presence and I only hope they remember its an ensemble.

I think they will, they just needed some short snappy dialogue to fit into the time limited trailer, and RJD is the man for that.

If you look at Whedon's past work, "ensemble" might as well be the guys middle name, I wouldn't sweat it...

Joss always makes all supporting cast stand out and special. Another reason I love him.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I ready for a world where a naked Hulk is allowed to run around beating up Super villains.

If Dr. Manhattan can have his blue sausage exposed, why not Hulk's green sauseeege

Little kids and their parents will just have to get over it.

Bring on the monster green schlong Marvel/Disney.

I think the proper term is tallywhacker. :lecture :monkey3

The trailer was very serious in the beginning, and although I don't prefer rock music and similar things in trailers for the movies I want to see.. I actually thought it fit right in.

I REALLY like the trailer and have watched it about 17 times now. :lol

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Like many said before, Iron Man does have all the snappy dialogue worth of a trailer. I truly hope that the leader and center focus of the Avengers is Cap. They could also focus on BW/Hawkeye as the everyman of the team compared to their super-powered teammates.

17, that's all? :lol I obviously have serious attachment issues to Joss' work. I have seen it more times then I care to remember but I also have it saved on my cell and watch it even while walking to get my mail. Yeah, and on the way back too. I just can't help it. I don't remember a time I was THIS excited about a film.
