Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Disagree. They pulled it off flawlessly in the first film. No need for the upgrade. :(

He looks way bigger here, the way Cap should look:

I can deal with the new costume, but the helmet/cowl? Ewwwwww....

It doesn't look good, doesn't suit the actor's face, and is a complete downgrade from CA:TFA. Yes, I know Cap doesn't traditionally have a chin strap in modern depictions, but then again, the "real" cap has a jaw like chiseled granite, which Mr. Evans doesn't. The chin strap on the prior helmet made up for that and just looked right.

They should have kept the design used on the first film, modernized it a bit by subbing ballistic nylon or some such for the leather parts, and called it a day.

That said, one clunky costume choice shouldn't matter much if the movie rocks.

That shot of Captain Skinnybritches... :monkey4:monkey4:monkey4:monkey4:monkey4

It's like he reverted back to the weak little dork he was before the Super Soldier Serum.

My dead cat's grandmother can kick his ass.

I'd probably call it now and say, realistically, I doubt you'd manage to kick his arse, let alone your dead relatives cats brothers whatever. :)

I'm not mega excited by this film but in the same way I feel about TDKR, after seeing all those pics. It's what the finished article will be that the film and it's content will be judged...

TOTALLY agree.

This suit is a home run - brilliantly designed, & looks sensational on screen.

I'm so glad the HT figure was made - it's the only Cap I'll ever want.

New suit looks absolutely ridiculous to me. :dunno

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

yeah, its not like they can make a huge guy look scrawny or basically change whatever they want....oh wait

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

:lol at people thinking that Marvel is going to go frame by frame with post-production CGI to make Cap's suit cooler when they could have just designed it better in the first place. Keep dreaming guys. It is what it is.

While we know CGI can't cure cancer yet, I still need to see the suit in motion and within the context of the movie with all the bells and whistles turned on to the max.

Plus we'll all be gawking at new Hulk anyways :google

Scarlett has every right to be embarrassed by Captain Longjohns. :lol
