Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Hawkeye is the one who bites the bullet to make room for another character in the sequel. Being that he is the forgotten one.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Hulk and Iron Man are the only reason I'll rent this movie at some point.

THe trailers could not be any less underwhelming. I still really get a FF:ROTSS vibe. And Cap looks straight awful, theres no other way to say it, his mask is garbage. Without it, he looks ok.

And Hawkeye looks like he couldn't be more of a thirdwheel, hes got a bow and arrow, seriously they needed that trait, Iron Man couldnt fire a laser accurately enough? Yea I get hes part of the Avengers but he just strikes me as a really lame character that won't see much development.

I think all the Avengers die......

Then all the humans die.

Aliens take over the planet and win.

The End.

I could be wrong though.

I hope not, I like Hawkeye, I'm looking forward to seeing him more then others. He kinda feels like the "Legolas" (from the films) type of character in the movie. He might not have much screen time or lines, but he's a badass :lol

Given that Renner is fairly new to the Marvel Studios stable and still has a lengthy contract I'd going to say no. Scarlett, Renner and Jackson have long deals that still need to be handled but include cameos. Evans and Hemsworth don't have a lot but could still capture an Avengers sequel, the real question is Downey who complete his contractual obligations with Iron Man 3. If they want Iron Man back they'll definitely be paying through the nose for him, I wonder if they'll do it or just have Tony off doing something else.

I'm still getting the vibe that a sequel isn't on the radar of the studio just yet though despite what is being printed.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

hard to tell, they havent given much background on her yet except showing she had a lot of alias's in IM2.

But the scene with Banner in the trailer makes me think of something, but I wont say what because it could spoil things. LoL :)

Shes like one of my favorites ever, so im really looking forward to her in this movie. Hoping Whedon gets her right because shes really important and he would be a director that I trust that would be able to make her who she is.
.....what?

If only we had a spoilers tag....I'll wait for Dave to provide one...

Avengers vs Lawyers :lol

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I'll bet that we get a cliffhanger ending for The Avengers, which I usually dislike. I like closure with my movies. :D

Anyway, I don't believe the story will end with just this one movie and Paramount/Marvel know it. This is a cash cow.

If RDJ doesn't play nice, they'll cut him and won't have problems finding someone else. Ed Norton anyone?
