Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

well the premiere in Sydney has been over for about an hr now.A friend txted me and said that this is an amazing movie-definately Marvels best!
the Humour and banter between the heroes is especially good.
the special effects apparently were spectacular.
Loki was awesome but he gave special mention to Hulk and Thor.
he wouldnt spoil it for me,and i havent read spoilers on here or anywhere.
Sad that i didnt get to see it today myself, but still pumped i might win tix locally to get to see it closer to April 25th!!

At least you did the right thing. :lecture:lecture:lecture:exactly:

Re: I just watched the Avengers movie.

not really, but there's heaps of shadows when you see him and you only get to see him for a second. I think they did a pretty good job with him.

Out of all the Marvel & DC movies, how does this rank?

Enjoy the spoilers folks, but please don't "Whoo" or say words like "awesome", etc. Else, I'll be forced to see them too and I honestly don't want to do that. :monkey2 :lol

Sorry meant to say woot :lol

Re: I just watched the Avengers movie.

I would say it's my favorite probably coz it had all the characters coming together. How often do you see a bunch of movies build up towards one epic movie? You have to go see it

Re: I just watched the Avengers movie.

Actually from the sound of things it sounds an awful lot like "The Ultimates" which considering how all the characters look, is probably what this is based off of.

Re: I just watched the Avengers movie.

i like how they filmed a new scene the other day after the premiere, so all the early screenings do not have this extra footage that people assume is for post-credits

Re: I just watched the Avengers movie.

Is there any other suprise cameos in it like spiderman, I heard rumors of that?

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

You'll be proud of Joss, pal.

Whoa, I had to delete spoilers in replying here without reading them. That was hard.

I have never in my life had any doubt that I would be proud of Joss. I'm a fangirl till the end.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Mark VII
Definately NOT War Machine inspired. The deployment scene gave me goosebumps twice. It has more weapons and it seems the arm rockets are a mix of Mark III and IV/VI. Too bad it gets beaten up like there's no tomorrow. Maybe Mark VIII in IM3?

Without a doubt there will be. That was a given even before this. Favreau played around with the idea of an armory scene in both of his films and it's something that multiple people still tied to the films admitted would have been cool to see so eventually we may get more than even just that.

I usually don't stress about spoilers a whole lot, but based on all I'm hearing I'm thinking I should walk into the May 3 midnight show as fresh as possible. Often all it takes is to see a trailer and remember lessons learned in the screenwriting class I took in college and I can figure out most of the movie before seeing it. I guess not a whole lot surprises me anymore.
With all that I'm hearing that the scope of this movie is much bigger than what we've seen suggests, I'd like to see it for myself than hear much more. I guess I'm going to have it to go on an Internet diet this month. I am confused why Marvel Studios kept this movie so secret and then allowed for fan screenings almost a month before the movie comes out and international releases 10 days before North America. It feels a bit like getting leftovers.
