Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

This film definately needs multiple viewings. There's so many things to miss.

During the first time, when Hulk
brings down the first serpent with one punch I went from WTF?! to "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? They show this monstrous thing in the trailer and it goes down THAT quick? Boooooo!" that I completely missed Tony hitting that thing with an arm rocket, causing the explosion :lol

Besides, I got Hulks two words only at the third viewing, 'cause the audience was breaking up that nothing could be understood.

Btw: Smulders Hill was also top notch! She looked way, way, WAY hotter than in HIMYM.

After hulk brought it down, and someone said "send more" (i forgot who said it), people busted out laughing in my theater. I guess it was a "well that was easy...wait......OH S___" moment

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Hulk owned the film.

Enjoyed all the characters - was surprised how much I enjoyed Black Widow this time around and Hawkeye wasn't so bad.

Nice to see Pepper in the film quite a bit. She looked great.

Cobie Smulders def looked better than I imagined... I'd like to see her more in the future films. (and I have a feeling we will since what happened...)

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

This movie had so much going on, deff takes multiple viewings, and everyone is cheering the whole movie its hard to make out the dialouge.

I cant wait to see it again!!! its so awesome and deffinitly delivers on all levels, its so fun.

Do you guys think they will do an extended cut or somthing special for the blu ray release?

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I can not wait to see this movie again. I had to see it in 3D and hated that as much as I thought I would. 2D next time.

This movie had a major flaw, though.

It was not long enough. 2-1/2 hours of this movies could be done standing on my head. I would have gladly plantd my butt in a seat for 3-4 hours of this. I hope they make an extended cut bluray with about another 1/2 hour of footage...at least.

Oh, yeah...Pepper Potts being included was nearly as awesome as the rest of the movie. I was stoked to see her in the film.

Gwenyth Paltrow can do a pair of denim cutoffs pretty well.

Loki said
Send the rest.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

i cant stop thinking about this movie, so much going on.

What's with the guy that suddenly

started playing the defender arcade game on his command center computer? Everyone laughed, i thought that was pretty odd, is it a reference to anything?

That had me laughing for quite some time :lol

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Man I think they were all really good in the movie, Hulk being the most entertaining. Couldn't have asked for a better performance from any really, Evans I thought nailed Caps part! Makes me more excited for the sequel to CA, which I liked the least of the movies. Their powers were all very well balanced and pretty much spot on. Great show cannot wait for the BluRay!

Haha I was in sort of a dead theater people only really laughed at a couple of scenes. Wouldve been nice to be around some energized fans...oh well.

REdit to avoid spoilers.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

The computer game the person is playing is Galaga, Stark mentions it in his speech on the helicarrier, when he is in his coat. Something along the lines of "I see you playing Galaga, you thought we wouldn't see you but I did...."

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

So damn fast paced. :yess:

So much to see. Every frame is crammed, bursting with plot and character.

A feast for Marvelites and--judging by my non-comicbook-fan-marvel-neophyte friends I saw it with--a killer thrill ride for anyone. The theater was booming and rooting throughout.

This thing'll be a monster . . .

...alright maybe a god?

...a dude in a tin suit?

...how 'bout a hot chick inna catsuit?

8.5/10
:snake

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Loved it.

Loved the two extra scenes as well...
Thanos looked great (smile with "courting death"-- awesome)
and
I'm glad I stayed for the Shawarma party...Ruffalo trying not to lose it was good.

Once on the big screen (three more times :wink1: ) and I'm going to take my god-son later this week to it for the 3D experience.

Anyone else really enjoying the score soundtrack? Constant repeat on my ipod :)
