I am not thinking that I am ready for this thread to end up on page 2 yet. Went to see the movie for the third time last night.

I watched it in 3D again...but I had little choice.

Good thing was that there was a total of 3 people in the theater other than my buddy and I.

And they left halfway through the movie...thankfully because they were teenage girls who made enough commotion for a theater full of children.

And people complain about babies in theaters...at least the were calm during the better parts of the 1st half of the movie before they left.

Edit - And I still don't see that Mark Ruffalo was figting back laughter during the shawarma scene at the end of the credits.

He has a smile on his face is all. Evans covering up the prosthetic (which is covering up his beard) was funny though. He looks like he's pouting. :lol

I apologize in advance if this has been brought up already, but one of the theories I heard recently that seems like a good possibility is that the whole plan of the movie was to get Loki back into Asgard to steal the Infinity Gauntlet. Makes sense, if a tad elaborate....

The second time I saw Avengers a five or six year old girl starting SCREAMING when Banner pounded the table in the shack in front of BW. Wouldn't stop until her mom carried her out of the auditorium a few minutes later and they didn't come back. Great movie to take an apprehensive little girl to. :duh

I think that it is cool that Hulk's voice was done by an amalgamation of voices that included Lou Ferrigno (along with sound designer Chris Boyes and Mark Ruffalo).

That is a pretty cool fact, I hadn't read that anywhere before. I need to brush up on my Avengers behind the scenes mojo.

:lol Poor Chitauri.

I'm taking the kids to see Avengers this afternoon. They're going to enjoy it a lot. Certainly lighthearted and action-packed enough to keep a 7-year-old and 4-year-old entertained for a couple of hours.

Thought about taking them to see TDKR when it comes out. They liked The Dark Knight. Still, may be too long and have too many slow-spots to take them while its in the theater.

They told me last night that the movie will eventually end up at the near-by second-run theater...when it gets there, I will take the kids for a second showing as they have been begging me to do. It is only 75 cents per person on Monday if you are a family of 4 or more. (More for 3D...but I'm not even going to tell them that is an option).
