I don't recall a major comic storyline where the government(s) attempted to use a nuke to kill off bad and good guys for the greater good prior to Kingdom Come. But there's very little new under the sun.

I meant writers rehashing ideas from other writers/stories.

Oh yeah. Stan Lee's even been accused of doing that in development of some of his iconic characters like the Fantastic Four. Everything is derivative of something.

Hey, just posting something I saw. Not that I actually agree with it. Personally I think the comparison is sort of twisted to make it fit with the Avengers ending.

There's a lot more to Kingdom Come and the Avengers than what is depicted in the panel.

Just thought I'd share.

People are always criticizing Marvel when in fact The Justice League is an almost exact copy of The Avengers (similar to how John Byrne ripped off Jack Kirby's Thanos when he created the derivative Darkseid.)

LOL, if not for Batman/Superman, every other DC character sucks. :lol

To hell with this overgeneralization!

I was hoping Blue Beetle would get his head smashed in during the Doomsday/Death of Superman run.

That poor chirping bird and deer had to die had the hands of Doomsday, why not Blue Beetle?

You go to hell, DiFabio :monkey2

Ol' Booster about did get his head smashed in though, as I recall. Or was that Gardner? In the door of a car Doomsday kept closing on someone's head :lol
