It looked "too good?"

Yeah. A page or so back, I was mentioning that I watched the movie on Blu-Ray at wal-mart and I did not care for it. Not that it wasn't great...it was too good for my taste. It was so clear that it looked fake, to me.

That could also be the settings on the TV...

Yeah. As I mentioned, I know the hi-def nazis (I use that term jokingly, of course) are going to be in heaven. But it was so clean and sharp that it looked fake, to me. It looked cleaner and sharper than real life. It was a distraction, to me.

I did go ahead and buy the BR3D/BR/DVD/digital/music set, though. I didn't see DVD/digital at all, the big set was only 7.00 more, and I figured my kids will like the BR and the BR3D.

I know what you're talking about. For what ever reason TVs in the store seem to have some sort of smooth feature on which makes the movie look like it's in 60P, I see it all the time and almost all Hi Def tvs in stores look weird to me. especially the ones with Tru motion or what ever that's called, it makes the film look weird, none film like. But once you get the Blu Ray home and watch it on a 1080P regular HD tv, the picture looks awesome. My 720P tv sucks for HD films because I can't tell a difference between regular dvd and blu ray, but when I put one of my movies on my friends tv, a 1080P tv, it looks awesome, it's not even close. Tvs do make a difference on how you're blu ray will look.

oh and does anyone know whats the xbox live 3 hr download of the movie? I'm assuming it's special features.

Just watched the opening sequence on blu-ray at home on my 46 inch 1080p LCD. Fantastic picture quality comparable to any other current movie on blu-ray. No weird "fake" looking picture quality.

Of course I did calibrate my television so that it doesn't look like a display model in a department store.

Thanks for the info...maybe I will like it in Blu-Ray after all. I'll see when I let my kids watch it.
