As I've just jumped on the waitlist for all three of the individual exclusive Dinosauria maquettes, I'm very much hoping to see a conversion sooner (read this weekend) rather than later on the Carnotuarus. These have not shipped yet, right? The SS site shows July as shipping, so I guess I'm getting ahead of the line by just a very few days or weeks, but I sure hope my exclusive Carnotuarus converts. I don't know why I always opt out of lines, then run back to them just prior to release. Silly! But something about the way this line is shaping up has piqued my attention.

Anybody else have news of recent conversions, or is anybody cancelling?

Good luck on your wait list. Are you going to get the reg if the ex doesn't convert?

I'm going to hold out for exclusives. Can't say exactly why, but I suppose I am conditioned to that mode of thinking after years of collecting. I know there are great deals on regulars at online retailers everywhere, but I do like those skull fossils.

Has anyone got shipping notices yet for this thing?...it says July ship date on the site...and ummmmm.....its July:confused:

Chris

I know. I was wondering the same thing when I was looking at the newsletter and searching for the 30 day notice. No such luck yet. Hopefully soon, though. The site does say July, sooooo... :dunno

Well, I've made a deal for an exclusive Carnotaurus, so I'm onboard and ready for shipment. It's pretty exciting to be starting an entirely new collection. I just hope that the paint apps are as robust and detailed as we have seen on all the prototypes.

As indicated by the T.rex vs. Triceratops dio, the paint apps are most definitely on par with everything we've seen in the prototype pics on the website. I have nothing but high expectations for all of the forthcoming Dinosauria collectibles.

Same here. I was so impressed with the T-Rex vs Triceratops dio. The paintwork looks just as good as the protos, so I'm in all the way.

Oh yeah, it totally slipped my mind that the diorama was out already. That would serve as a great indicator of how the line is going to progress. I had just put that piece out of mind because I was more interested in the individual study of each dinosaur via maquette style. Of course I may pick one up down the line, if I find a great deal on it.

I'm running off to try to find people's in hand pics of the diorama! :blissy

Just check here. Several of us posted pics of our dios in hand. In terms of the statues as studies of the individual dinosaurs, the diorama is easily on par with the maquettes in every way, shape, and form as an illustration, anatomically and behaviorally, regarding how the depicted dinosaurs plausibly lived and breathed. It is the pride and joy of my collection, and if you are a lover of all things prehistoric, then I cannot recommend this highly enough. As a start to the line it is immaculate and thrived under every second of my careful scrutiny.

Scar - I did mean that I was going to look at the diorama thread here, and there are lots of great images there. Enough to make me go off in search of the exclusive version of this diorama. I'm very close to securing one. Wish me luck.

I'm also enjoying making my way through your very comprehensive and informative posts. Thanks for all the great information.

:D

Me too...to bad Im going to be out of the country when it gets here :banghead

Aye, a very good day to be a Dinosauria collector. Thrilled to have gotten this e-mail. I had become concerned with the lack of information for the release in the latest newsletter. Fears put safely to bed. :rock :banana:rock

It seems sometimes the newsletter may miss an item or two that is shipping soon. I think there was another time I had something that wasn't listed as coming in 30 days and I got the processing e-mail. Or I could be confused. That's a state I've been known to inhabit.

You needn't be confused, my friend. It seems as if you're quite right. The Carnotaurus maquette was omitted from the 30 day notice in the newsletter... but this is the kind of surprise that I like! I was disappointed when the newsletter came out last Thursday, but now my fears have been allayed, and I'll need to reorganize my shelves yet again to make room for this titan's imminent arrival! :banana
