Pretty cool:
Much as I like Leo - this seems like it going to be one of the most overacted roles in recent memory
Honestly, most of Tarantino's movies are over-acted. That's just his style.
Pretty much. Tarantino ain't much for subtlety.Which is why some are hits and most are misses.
Batman pulled some tubes loose on Bane's mask with his gauntlet blades.
Saw it for a second time last night, Imax of course, and I liked it first time around, but love it now.
1. Rises
2. BB
3. TDK
He couldn't have done that the first time? Woulda been the first thing I'd have tried.
Pretty cool:
You need that on your wall... animated rain and all.
Unless I missed something all Batman did was punch him in the face! Theres no reason that same action in the first battle wouldn't have dislodged Bane's pain tubes just as they ended up doing in the second battle.
Batman should have accidentally discovered Banes weakness right from the off.
The way I saw it:
Bats likely knew right away that the mask was crucial to Bane in some way from very start. Bats was targeting them (like you guys have stated) - but it didn't seem to have an affect. But some of the tubes were maybe loosened after the first fight. Then with the second fight - they became dislodged.
Then maybe Bane had two masks. A main one and a backup that wasn't as sturdy. That second fight - he happened to be weary the backup mask. The main was being dry cleaned.
I read the Aintitcoolnews review by Harry yesterday. An interesting read if some of you hadn't caught it. He hated the movie. I don't agree with his opinion in general, but do agree that no Batman I've really cared much for would "give up" like the Nolan version did after the events of the second film. Having said that, I think there are clear analogies to Wayne in The Dark Knight Returns, which is considered borderline canon by many comic readers.
TDKR is starting to grow on me even more.
BB still first
But TDKR is nipping at TDK's butt.
That interrogation scene in TDK is hard to beat though.
As far as soundtrack is concerned, TDKR wins hands down.
So is the first Bane Vs Bats fight though.
