My big issue with KOTCS was the monkey/vine swinging and the nut shot stuff. The rest I rolled with pretty easy.

Bad pacing, CGI, John Hurt wasted on silly character and Marion finding mortal danger hilarious were my problems with it. I could deal with fridge-nuking and Aliens and giant spaceships just fine. The early motorbike chase was brilliant and Shia was fine, I don't understand why people single him out. An older Shortround-type character, whats the problem?

I can understand that. I don't know if I agree with all of that but I understand it none the less.

----------------

I'd rank them
Last Crusade
Raiders
KOTCS
TOD

Yeah, despite its notable issues there's still a lot to dig about the film. Too many people throw the baby completely out with the bath water, which is a shame. But oh well.

Also, the Crystal Skull itself is one badass prop design. Stan Winston FTW one last time.

Please tell me Raiders is still your favorite before I start hyperventilating. :lol

Uh, RAIDERS is probably my favorite movie of all time, period. It's certainly solidly in the Top 5. So no worries there. :lol

I was at a friend's house and Raiders came on. They changed the channel in favor of a reality show about "America's Worst Tattoos." I haven't spoken to them since.

Oh, Zach, to be completely honest, your actions are much less reprehensible (I pity you more than anything). They had seen Raiders and they changed it...to a reality show...about tattoos. When I asked them to turn it back, they said that movie sucked. I'm honestly surprised that you didn't hear about a violent crime occurring in Ohio on CNN.

Help me batfan, you're my only hope.

Right. So it might take you a few years to figure out TDKR isn't up to par with the first two in its trilogy, either. ;)

Anything is possible but nah, I don't see that happening. I like superhero movies with high stakes, over the top action, cool designs, and solid acting and music.

BB absolutely was a great movie with a great atmosphere, it just wasn't very thrilling and had a jarringly miscast leading lady. Ditto for TDK with an equally miscast gal, it did have the best acting of the series but the Joker never really accomplished anything and the finale with Two-Face was anti-climactic.

TDKR was bothing thrilling and climactic, had decent ladies (finally) and a villain who actually proved capable of defeating Bruce Wayne. The playing field was evened with Bruce no longer being richer than the villains or the only one with high-tech vehicles. It was great.

It had it's flaws of course (the CIA agents in the plane at the beginning were laughably stupid and he should have died at the end) but I don't see it going from being one of my top three superhero movies to below the first two (which aren't in my top three) anytime soon.

Well he did kill an extremely annoying leading lady so I guess he's got that going for him. Otherwise he blew up a couple buildings (one of them empty) and conducted a failed riverboat social experiment. His "ace in the hole" made for a less than riveting final 10 minutes of the movie but then didn't go anywhere after that.
