I agree because even if something is in fact mass produced if I like it enough I'm still going to buy it.

Collectibles industry at this level is a pretty small niche market too. Even with an open ES, it's not like there are going to be tons of these floating out there. Price is also very fair as well.

I'll be honest the only reason I'm not going to buy this, at least not right away, is because I'm not crazy about the way Black Widow came out. If her EX converts for me I'll buy the Hulk. I just want to make sure I can get the whole set. The rest as regs will follow. It depends on Black Widow conversion.

So how long will the turnaround time be from preorder to ship date on this one? 8 months? A year?

We buy many things that are expensive that don't keep their value. I buy these things because I enjoy the characters and how they look. It's nice to be able to turn around and sell it for a profit but guess what - Most things you buy you can't turn around and sell for the same price or more. So make sure you like what you get. Some people pay 200.00 or 300.00 for a pair of sneakers. One year later..Worthless. If you are into this for the profit or hope that it will keep it's value then skip the items that have an open ES. Easy as that. If you really REALLY want this you will get it like the other HULK fans will be. But if you are worried about it's value then move on to the next thing.

When I first got into this hobby I had no idea that items would increase in value like they sometimes do. That was a bonus but not the reason I got what I did.

Again, if Sideshow wants to have open ES from here on out then just move to the next company. Someone out there will fill the need of a "closed" ES.



Yes it's a collectable but I look at them more as room decor.

Still bothered about the price. Mortgage payments suck. I actually hope there is no exclusive so I don't have to pay the full price. I can get a nice discount from my local comic shop. Still, despite my ranting about the price, I'm a Hulk fan till the end.
