congrats on your purchase and on your first post on this forum.
Thank you. Totally new here, but I have been collecting since 2004-05.
I have been following this thread and have been quite entertained at how people love to speculate with the value of their collectables.
I am buying this statue because I like it. When I buy something as a "true collector" by my standards, the piece stays with me until it's time for me to visit the graveyard.
I am not a fast flipper dude, so I don’t care if my statue is worth $450 or $3000, 2 years later.
I’m certainly not into waiting months or years to speculate if I can pick one up in the used market to save $200. Rather have it now. Life is too short, you never know. I won’t be any richer for $200 more or less, will still have to work.
I have quite a few statues from SS collectibles and just to put one example: I have the Terminator Arm 1:1 that I bought for $750 CAD. Now sells for between 2k-4k.
Do I care? No. Not selling. A profit of $1500, doesn’t fix my life.
1 Million would! I don’t think it would reach a million bucks.
Any ways, my whole point is that I collect statues because of true love of having that particular statue and not mainly because of the sick monetary value that it might have someday, thanks to “Homosapiens” way of thinking, which is why the world is the way it is today. All seems to be money-money and more money.
Give me a break, lets stop complaining and lets enjoy this “Statue”.
