It could have been way worse since it's Legacy. The Iron Man 2 Maquette was $500 and that piece is much smaller.

The Iron Man was numbered though, no matter how big it was. This piece should be $300 max with no edition size, $650 where 10,000 of these can be sold in the span of 5 years is pretty ridiculous.

The price itself will make it limited. Few are willing to drop $650 on a single statue.

Valid point there, specially for flippers, there is no money to be made on this piece, that's a possibility at least, only people that truly want this will dish out 650 for it, maybe this is the new direction the statue market is taking. People keep comparing this to the PF hulk, but that was 300 something over a half a decade ago, and no one seem to mind paying secondary market prices which doubled the same week of its release, and the ES was 1000 which was considered a lot for marvel product, and the EX was 150 then magically 25 more appeared on the boat lol BS is timeless.

I enjoy collecting items with limited runs but I don't have any intent to sell. Just nice to know they are limited making them rare and potentially valuable. Again not that I buy with the intent to sell. People who buy just to flip clearly are not collectors! Just my 2¢.

I have the same mentality, when i first start to collect Sideshowcollectibles products but its very hard to turn down an offer that worth 5-10 times you paid for.

I guess... Depends on how much you like the piece. Depending on the piece I could live simply with knowing it's worth 5-10 times what I paid and just keeping it in house.

Apparently retailers had limited pieces from SS.
The place I ordered mine has sold loads althought he has raised the price now.

I can't wait to have this piece displayed in my home. I think the detail on the sculpt and paint is gonna be awesome. With the joker coming out so good I think it's an indication that SS has there QC under control which means this Hulk is gonna be awesome. The waits gonna be killer but the Avengers comes out on DVD in September so that should help.

Exactly. I haven't seen any of those pieces first hand but everyone is raving about them. Hopefully this is the norm now for SS pieces. Can't wait for Hulk and Batman pf as well.

Sideshow will get these open ES pieces in small batches, so there should be no rush to make thousands at a time like some of their other pieces. QC issues should be low, and from what I've seen in the other open ES pieces, it has been.
