Release is on the 27th of July. I guess there will be a screening of it at SDCC as well?

I'm hoping Target does a Steelbook for this one. I'm a little behind with some of the New 52 movies they put out and Gods and Monsters, but this would be a day one buy.

I haven't bothered with getting any editions with the figures since they're not producing a line of them for me to get the figures I'd want.

Did any of you guys see that this is going to be in theaters July 25th? I guess it's going to be one of those Fathom Events deals, which 1.)is ****ing awesome, and 2.)is exactly what I said they should've done with the TDKR Deluxe Edition, but, hell, if it does well enough, and this being the 30th anniversary of TDKR, maybe there's hope for it on the big screen, yet.

And it will do just as bad as Mask of the Phantasm. :slap

To be fair, I don't think they're really marketing it to anyone other than hardcore fans. Fathom Events does everything from Boxing to those MST3K/Rifftrax movies, to the Metropolitan Opera, so, it's a pretty niche release model.

This would be fun to see on the the big screen. :)

Ok since the animation is cheap there goes the visual element- so yes it will suck

The subpar animation is what's really stopping me from shelling out for a movie ticket, what's the point of seeing it on the big screen if that's the visuals they're offering? Plus the film's digital release is the following day, so if the reviews are great, I'll just buy it that week. It'd be a waste of money to buy a ticket and pay for the digital copy in the same week.
