This is all relative to how you want to play bro. that's the beauty of the weapons and perks.

How about a good offensive one that would be good in firefights and a good defensive one for sneaking around?

I'd just reccommend trying out all the weapons and getting a feel for them, then deciding which you like best. It changes all the time for me, sometimes I can only use Assault rifles then other times I find i'm playing way better with Sub Machine Guns. Gotta keep changing to keep it fresh I think. This sounds a bit daft but also changing the looks of the weapons by adding silencers and different camo's can sometimes re-fresh it for me and make me play better.

I think as a basic good class the perks you could use are Marathon for the unlimited sprint, Stopping power to get a bit more ooomph, and then Steady aim. This is what my classes are usually based around.

So many options. Also factor in the game style that you play. for games that involve capturing certain areas or running the bomb to plant it you'd use different perks than just a normal team death-match.

Im always swapping out perks with my guns, depending on the game mode im playing.

It really is hard to say which is THE best offensive class. but some suggestions could be....

Assault rifle w/ holo sight
sleight of hand
stopping power
steady aim

LMG w/ any sight
marathon
lightweight
steady aim

Assault w/ holo sight
marathon
cold blooded
commando


Obviously stealth classes would use silencers on the weapons along with cold blooded, ninja, and maybe marathon in the first slot or bling so you can use a sight along with the silencer.

I sneak around in firefights... I have this setup:
ACR with Holographic sight and Silencer
Model 1887 with FMJ
Bling + Pro
Cold Blooded Pro
Ninja Pro
Semtex
Flash Grenades

groundwar is hard cause even in domination they are all running around good luck im sure you'll get it in HQ

yes im 1st prestige level 24 dieing to get to 25 for my cold blooded! im sick and tired of getting shot by helicopters and ????! and i will prestige all the way just like i did on cod4. i dont minded. it sucks loosing everything though.

I love prestiging. Do it as soon as I hit the required level.

EDIT: just turned it off to have a break, now turned it on and there's a new patch to download. Hopefully those ridiculous shotguns are fixed!
