Would have been sad if the whole stupid 48 fps would have kept it from doing so.

Right? That, and the boosted IMAX and RealD tickets helped out a lot actually.

I'm not sure what you mean by "right?". I've said from the start I thought it was lame that the movie itself was being knocked by the 48 fps. There were plenty of reviews that knocked the movie soley on the 48fps feature. Yes, having the IMAX and 3D did help. If having those is supposed to be a knock I don't see it that way. They all helped it get to 1 billion and thats fine by me. It's the way the market is structred and the studios choice to not use them or use them.

No, you completely took that the wrong way.

I'm with you. I'm glad it didn't. I get some didn't like it. Some of it I have my reasons which I stated in this thread. The rest of it I was just speaking in general. Not so much at you saying it at least had those.

No, im serious, just because there were EE of LOTR does it mean there has to be an EE for Hobbit.

I just don't remember seeing an announcement for EE DVD of Hobbit and might hold off on the Theatrical cut for an EE if it has been announced, that's all.

Of course there are more theatrical films.

I have the regular 3D set coming with the Lenticular GTG, Regular set up with all the cast on it, and I got the Digibook. I got the Gandalf 3D Lenticular mini-poster/card, UT here on the board sent me the Thorin, and Lonnie is sending me Bilbo to complete the 3 card set

I'm getting the digibook, 3D with Gandalf and Target combo with Lego Bilbo. I'll probably be selling off the combo that comes with the Lego Bilbo, so if anyone wants it, let me know. I'll sell it for cheap.

I'm thinking about getting the Best Buy one now that I see it has that leticular slip and exclusive doc.
