Re: Stealth Iron Man Problems- Post the specific flaws you see on yours.

i think everyones a little uppity about this whole situation...hopefully SS makes good and makes us all happy...and I agree with you bro...if you want to make your own thread...make it man..no one is forcing anyone to click on it...not like this guy patrols the forum and makes the rules...post away bro

hope SS makes good by you talon

Here's the difference...

Those threads belong to OTHER PEOPLE, not me. Should I just go into somebody else's thread and go

"I bought the SIM too, and I have the same issues."

I would rather show pics and explain MY SITUATION with MY SIM.

Posting a thread with the same subject as another member, with a product that has a product run of 1250 pieces and only FOUR of FIVE of us have threads going is seen as excessive?

Telling me that is disrespectful.

I find it hillarious and ironic that some of you guys on here are actually commenting my thread saying "there are too many of these threads".

You can cut the "Whole family" crap. I don't get that vibe from you or Mesa Scott at all.

What was your first comment in my thread?

Not "ohh man, that sucks talon. You got a damaged piece and I feel for your loss bro" - as some other have, but rather "Another thread?!?!"

I could almost visualize you scratching your head at this seemingly amazing enigma that is my thread.

LOL

Do me a favor. If some of you have nothing better to do than say "we don't need any threads like this" then just don't bother viewing them. It's that simple.

Re: Stealth Iron Man here............

anyone toying with the notion of fixing their own?

Sorry for the individual posts...

I would probably be willing to buy a screwed up one at cost just to attempt a red/gold repaint, for fun.

Otherwise, I want a 95% MINT one replaced by SS. I'd be willing to live with one or two scratches, but not to this degree, for what we all paid.

Quick question....Was the plastic inserts inside the stryofoam tinted blue with yours?

Mine were covered all over. There was an oily residue on there too...

Says the guy who wishes for next Christmas and in his heart of hearts he becomes a MOD.

:D

And "proper etiquette"???? This is a STATUE FORUM.

Quick question:

Would you like some Grey Poupon?

:p

I think the blue residue is a result of the protective gel that was applied to help protect the statue. But it had the reverse affect. Etierh applied while paint was still wet and prevented from fully drying, or even worse, has some sort of acidic chemical reactio to allow paint to break down after drying.

Re: Pics of my BATTLE DAMAGED SS Stealth Iron Man... /cries...56K , TONS of pics

Pretty much.

And getting toilet paper is going to take 60 - 90 DAYS.

Where's a bidet when you need one?

Re: Stealth Iron Man Problems- Post the specific flaws you see on yours.

I started this thread so I am going to post in it. I was thinking about starting another thread by I did not want to be disrespectful. Hope that doesn't offend any statue hyper-nerds :D

OK- I got a message from sideshow on email in response to my return request. They gave me an RMA, they told me I could display it or whatever until they got replacements in. Actually, I was impressed with their customer service speed, response, and everything. Here is an important part of their message for anyone doing a return:

Currently we are waiting to receive replacements into our warehouse as they are on back order. Typically our replacements arrive in-house after our edition pieces; as such you will experience a delay in receiving your replacement. This wait period is expected to last between 60-90 BUSINESS DAYS. Until then, please keep your piece safe and secure. You are free to display your statue; however should it incur additional damage your piece is no longer returnable to Sideshow Collectibles. Should you also decide to attempt repair or modify your statue, it will no longer be returnable to Sideshow Collectibles.

I think they will make it right with everyone who has a bad one. Sideshow has always done right by its fans. I have had entire items replaced that were damaged and pieces of individual items (grievous) sent out next day because they were damaged. i think it will be ok with SIM.

Just my thoughts.

Re: Stealth Iron Man Problems- Post the specific flaws you see on yours.

mine had blue **** on it....alot of blue ****

Hmmmmm....

I gots a feeling - like a lot of others here - that the residue actually might have kept the paint "wet" to a degree during shipping.

The previous Shell Head shipped in foam wrapping paper, and my EXCL. red / gold one was MINT. no issues whatsoever.

Hopefully they don't use this method on statues anymore.

Plastic inserts near painted statues during shipping = bad. Same for that residue crap.

They should have just kept the foam wrapping paper.

Re: Stealth Iron Man Problems- Post the specific flaws you see on yours.

Forgive if this suggestion has been made - but with a lot of the SIMs being scratched, someone could make a fortune repainting these red/gold. Afterall, a light-up red/gold is what we all wanted anyway, right?

Wow! that's a heck of an idea! Hey- Sideshow should let us keep the scratched ones for the PITA this has caused! If we get legitimate RMAs, they should let us keep them so we can pay someone to repaint them.

OK- Darklord- how do we start this movement? :chew

GETTING A REPLACEMENT IRONMAN STEALTH? LET'S ASK SIDESHOW TO LET US KEEP THE BAD ONE

So we can get them repainted and have a light-up red and gold!

Darklord Dave just suggested this, I thought i would post abotu it and look for thoughts.

I like your idea.

...If only the lights were YELLOW this idea would be as good as gold.

Damn red lights messing up comic accuracy.

;) :p
