Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

I thought they sent a warning email out about this. Didn't it say to just wipe the smudges off? I am pretty sure thats what I read. Has anyone tried this?

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

Good Question....has anyone? Is this a case of:

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

It's always been a 3-5 day thing for returns. Usually it's quicker than that, my only return shipped the day after they received my original. It's just a standard time frame they give. Take a chill pill. It's not like you won't get a replacement. I still have to wait a week just to get my original shipment so things could be worse.

Well damn bro...thats all you had to say...

Seriously, Ive never had a problem with SS, or any of my items Ive ordered from them...So this is a new experience..However, I will chill..

Sideshow Collectibles always welcomes collector feedback so that we may improve our products and services. Based on suggestions received from owners of our previous Iron Man products, we have improved the internal packaging and packing procedure for the Stealth Iron Man statue to further protect the highly polished paint application. These improvements may leave small spots of a mold release agent on the statue, which can be easily removed by lightly buffing its surface with a soft cotton cloth.

Like people said, maybe read and try that.

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

The oil is easy to buff out but the scratches are permanent.

Please do not use plastic trays anymore. It just adds more to the scratches.

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

I'm gonna be so pissed if my Stealth comes like this. Sideshow really needs to address this problem promptly. Friggin invest in a foam wrapping cloth!! Toe and others, I'm sorry for you guys. SS better get you new ones ASAP.

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

...glad that my scratches are minute so I will keep it, but the one I am getting from a freak member, I hope his is not so bad as well.

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

I just got mine, and what a battle with the beast known as the cardboard box. I seriously felt as if I were giving birth with the endless pulling and tugging, as a man, thank god, we don't give birth.

Anyways, my SIM was a victim of the notorious bad packing too. From the CSI reports, most visible, He had decent sized scrapings on his left arm. SIM also had very small scuff marks on the chest, back of spine, and ankle. What was scary was that I almost dropped it, because SIM is obviously fond of KY jelly...j/k, but he was just covered in some chemically scented oil. I had to go wash my hands after.

(pics will be up once my camera recharges)

SS put a calendar in my box, nice consolation prize, but DEF not enough to warrant the problems with this statue. I haven't even checked the lights yet. I hope the oil is not flammable.

I belive that was about the oilky protectant, not the paint.

so, I just got mine.

Paint damage in same areas. Ribs, arm, stc. I had # 616

I called SSC and started the return process. :monkey2

yeah, they're scuff marks, def not wipeable...I tried (lightly) with a damp cloth in hoping it was residue from the packing. also mine has finger prints on his red chest. So much for wearing gloves, same applies with the white styrofoam box, black prints on it.

Man this is horrible.

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

You guys with scratches, like mine, call SSC immediately. I'm sure they have replacements in the warehouse so get on that list ASAP.

BUT my fear is the replacements may also have paint damage.

Anyway, it is an extraordinary piece, really kick ass.

Lovely, so some moron had their dirty mits while handling a 300 dollar piece of merchandise. Unreal.

Common sense would suggest you care for these pieces with clean hands. Oi...

....why would they care when they get paid 10 cents an hour. I wouldn't. :monkey3

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

If it's broke or scratched send it back, it's real simple.

Some of the board members here sound like complete pricks in the comments they have left calling Sideshow employees idiots, morons, etc.

Maybe the delivery guy keeps dropping your boxes on purpose because he thinks your a duech bag!
