Yeah I remember that. This isn't the first time SS has come up with a crappy packaging idea...that is for sure. I just don't get it though. The major complaint surrounding the LS Iron MAn bust was the hard plastic casing, why do it again?

This is why I didn't pre-sell mine even though I have every intention of selling. If mine comes undamaged I will sell it but wrap it in some tissue paper to avoid damage. Chances are it will be damaged though.

My Black Cat had a silver THUMBPRINT on her waist! My SIM came today with a lousy paint app all over the place. The stand wobbles because it's warped. Now I'm reading that (a) I am NOT the only one with issues with QC, and (b) they are doing refunds and not exchanges anymore? WTF? These are just two mishaps of late. It started with wonky-eyed Mary Jane. Then, I got Princess Leia with two left hands. How do you not notice two left hands??
And lest I forget.... everytime I open my email, I'm drowning in processing notices. Yeah, yeah, collecting is expensive, but still. Am I the only one feeling the pinch of almost 20 pieces going through in as many days?

How long does it usually take to get your account/card credited back once you return an item?? Now I'm leaning toward just returning mine for a refund assuming it arrives tarnished.

I never knew they made us Canadians pay for shipping items back. Nice to see they appreciate our business...
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be ok, but based on what I've read here I'm not too optimistic.

Since I got a "the item is being transferred to the EU warehouse" mail some time ago, I know that us EU collectors are in for the same fiasco... Boy, and I had some returns as well lately. Looks like this will be another one, as much as I hate it.

I can understand that people can get frustrated when they receive something that's not 100% perfect. I remember when I got the Elektra PF and there were white spots all over her red outfit - you'd swear it was places the vinyl had worn off. Turned out it was just styrofoam pieces.
I'm not saying that every problem reported (and how many have there been - 5 or 6?) isn't worthy of complaint - but please examine the piece closely before badmouthing it.
Also calling people idiots, imbeciles, etc. will not be tolerated. I can't believe there are still members here that think that a company is trying to screw you when something doesn't work out as planned. The plastic tray is an extra packing expense - it's not cheaping out on packing - it's designed to protect. Same with the lubricant on the piece.
Please think before you post. If you have complaints - please voice them, but this is NOT the place for extravagant ranting.

It'll be interesting to see how this affects wait lists. If they have a ton of returns what happens to all those who are getting them later (like EU and us east coasters)?

Also its not that simple of returning it, for me at least..I wanted this thing ever since I saw it at SDCC...I loved it so much that I invested another $300 for a repaint (since I already have the gold/red version)...and for $300, I want a mint one, not scuffed one and not a refund...
It just upsetting that there was no real protection for the IM...no tissue, no foam wrap..nothing...and for $300 there should have been more done to protect this...

The issue I see being raised is a valid one. This sounds like the same packaging they used on the Iron Man bust which caused many issues with the paint. When SS says they listened to the comments about the packing and adjusted the packaging to prevent issues but don't follow through there is a problem. With so few having been delivered so far, there seem to be a lot of complaints about damage to the paint on several boards.
This isn't the first time that people have received statues that have been damaged due to poor packaging (which is still a QC issue as the packaging shouldn't cause damage). It also has to be evident to SS that there are issues when it takes a CS rep a week to get back to someone on a return yet there is no improvement.

Stealth Iron Man Problems- Post the specific flaws you see on yours.
Hi-
I just opened my Stealth Ironman and was really, really hoping to put up a post saying it was perfect and what not. However, I was disappointed to find the same scrapes people have been complaining about. It's weird- the scrapes are in the blue paint beneath the clearcoat, almost like someone was wearing sand paper gloves when moving it from paint area to clear coat area. Also- the paint detail sucks- around the mouth it looks like he is drooling. And the black piece borders are sloppy as well.
i really hope later shipping statues are free from these defects and I happened to get an early one.
Good news- I called Sideshow and they were helpful as usual, they wanted me to send in some pictures so they can take a look.
Can anyone else who has received a bad piece post what thei problems were here? It might help Sideshow nail down any issues they have in production.
BTW- overall, the piece is freakin' awesome- the look, the pose, it's perfect- the lights are truly beautiful.
