I remember reading all the crap one of the brothers posted on AVP Galaxy about problems with the budget etc. I think it's 50/50. Look what Predators achieved on a small budget.

They did give gives us Wolf though.

Yeah. They posted several times. There's still a way you can read all their posts. Was a great read, especially some of the replies.

So who's fault was it: Fox or The Brothers Strause?

Fox. they're the ones who wanted to hire music video/commercial directors to head their franchise. same deal happened with A3. when you go cheap, you get what you pay for. that said, A3 turned out pretty well even if Fincher disowned it. granted, he was already kinda famous for making really good music videos before that though. but the Strause bros were mediocre to start with.

Even with a different director, it still would have been the same screenplay by Shane Salerno.

i really doubt most of his original script made it into the finished movie. i bet there's so much red ink on the script from some ********* producer's notes that nobody would know who wrote it. you need to dig up some of Shane's comments on it somewhere so we can see what's what.

No idea, it was a looong time ago. No warning, nothing. Even emailed them a few times..

I occasionally find random posts I've made on avpgalaxy through Google and can't believe how irritating I was . Maybe that's the reason I was banned, wouldn't make much sense though considering the other THOUSANDS of idiots on that site.. I mean seriously, I stop by every once in a while and it's no different then Youtube.

For what the film is, I like it. It's a fun 90 minutes to watch. No film will ever be as superb as Alien/ Aliens or Predator so I don't mind that it doesn't take itself too seriously. I know that when I watch it, I still have the Alien and Predator blu rays just infront of me on the stand.
