Cast members seem like genuine movie fans, especially Key and Jane. Makes sense given their history with genre work. Right around 6:20 is where that stuff kicks in, but there are interesting tidbits throughout the whole deal.

Eh, I tend not to get carried away with these promo interviews as they are always fluff, stroking each other's, producer's and director's cocks. The one thing that gave me pause was the answer to, "What is your favorite sci-fi movie?" Two of them answered with Avatar.

I'm more concerned about the lame, "Super Predator" that they keep trying to force down our throats (see AvP 2, Predators) than the little kid angle.

September 14th? Ugh... death.

What was the reason given for the last-minute push?

I think to give the crew more post-production time following the reshoots. As it stands now, the movie needs to be finished by mid-August. Wouldn't have been possible had they kept theatrical release this month.

New TV spot with a very brief glimpse of the Predator dog. Actually looks pretty cool.

Still unsure about borrowing the crowns and dreads for the design, but I do like where they're going. Bit smaller and more bullish in build compared to the ones we saw in 2010.

Having hunting dogs wipes away everything a Predator is supposed to be.

Relying on dogs makes them look lazy.

Exactly. The Predator has to be the monster.

What they should have done is give us a great and sinister Predator Team -- three distinctive badasses (perhaps terrorizing a town) that have to be stopped. Simple Western structure. Make it dirty, gritty -- like Logan.

So horrible from the wimpy looking mercenaries trying to sound tough to the cringe worthy humor and embarrassing dialogue.

What a disaster.

Shane Black should just sell cocaine for a living.

Poor Jane.

Disney Predator when lol

The film just looks obnoxious. I really don't like the "lead" He's a charmless arrogant ****. I wish they would stop trying to make him happen.

The film itself...ugh. It just looks like scene after scene of bad humor, gratuitous, emotionless action and CGI gore deaths where we're meant to hold our fists to our mouths going "ho ho hoooo daaaamn brooo oooooh!" but everything lacks any real meaning.

Think back to the original Predator or Predator 2 even, almost every death was a moment and meant something it wasn't a blink and miss gimmick shot.

Having said that...I'm still going to be a putz and see it anyway. Best I can hope for is a guilty pleasure movie. ah well.

Really? The jokes surprise you? "I was talking to you mother the other night and said geez, you got a big va-jay, geez, you got a big va-jay..." waiting for laughter.
Arnold throws a knife at a mercenary and says "Stick Around". Ba-dom-chi! I like the original movie too but don't act like it wasn't just a fun, pop-corn B-Movie gore fest. I don't understand why some people expect Hamlet when ever Hollywood decides to make a sequel or remake of material that was B-movie fun the first time around. Transformers, G.I. Joe, Lost In Space, heck, even Star Wars. All pretty light, juvenile stuff the first time around, why expect it to be grown-up now? Just because you got older?

Going to echo this sentiment and add something more. Don't let the fast cuts and hip-hop taint your impression of the film. It's just a trailer -- scratch that, a trailer for an R-rated Predator film in 2018 that's been rewritten, reshot, and pushed back. Makes sense that Fox is desperate enough to get ***** in seats that they'd cut trailers like this. Having seen Black's other films (well, the ones not overseen by Disney suits), I'll chalk up the tone of the marketing to the focus groups rather than the filmmakers.
