That's nice to know!! CONGRATZ!!!!
It's gonna be real hard...cuz I hate exercising!!! But I'm super determined!

I started to work out and eat right in the beginning of last year. And Managed to lose about 17 pounds in 3 months...but then life came at me fast and I lost all motivation and gained it back :( But I'm not gonna let that happen to me again!!! And now that I'm a member of this forum and have my fellow freaks here for support...i'm more optimistic that I can reach my goal!:banana

Oh and I saw the documentary "Pumping Iron" over at Pitu's house last weekend....so I'm gonna be like Lou Ferrigno and get motivated to kick Anhulds ass!

I think my DVD of this movie is totally worn away.... It's my Bible. :lecture

Don't forget the purple pants. Skiman says you can get them at Kohl's. :D

Key I find is having something tangible to set your sights on and drive you.

Like the weight i'm aiming to get to, I've never been, I've been overweight my entire adulthood, I'm the best shape I've been in since I was a little child, but I didn't have an "old me" to aim for, so to get me their, I picked Ryan Reynolds as a role model for what I want to look like, and I use Sylvester Stallone as my role model for the will to get their. When I jog I have Rocky songs playing, but I ripped them from the DVD so I actually get the dialogue of Mickery barking in my ear and things, and whenever I feel like tossing in the towel, I just picture myself at the top of the stairs hopping up and down victoriously like Rocky, and focus on that because I want that sense of victory and satisfaction, and that's the first image I think of when I start to lose the will, and it keeps me going.

This is the one that gets me going for sure! :rock

Every day I work out, I stretch out to the training sequence of Rocky II, I find that one most inspiring for me in my workout because my failed attempts to get in shape are like Rocky one, I got so far, but I didn't go all the way, this time around it's win or nothing, I imagine friends wearing "Win Sean Win" shirts and all :lol

It does feel like a boxing match for me, new me trying to beat old me, and not letting old me win.

One of my favorite songs for weight lifting, which I listen to for my tricep work, is Disturbed's Indestructable, because everytime I build up muscle and change from the weak fat kid :lol, I always feel like the chorus is a message from me to everyone who ever gave me ???? :lol

"I'll have you know, that I've become indestructible, determination that is incorruptible."

Actually, it made me feel good, on New Years I was horsing around with one of my old college roomies and put him in a joking head lock, but apparently my grip's a bit stronger than it used to be, I made him pause a little "whoah" for a minute, which was nice, never intimidated anyone before :lol

I'm with ya also boota! The main thing is to try and make whatever you do enjoyable...Believe me, once you start seeing the results of your hard work, it's gonna be alot easier to stick with it and be motivated to keep exercising :)
