Ski - since my main focus now is to continue lifting but focus more on cutting, would you recommend upping my cardio/lowering carb intake? No matter how strong I get, size just doesn't happen for me. I'm a mesomorph and I need to embrace my swimmers body.

Purely want to lose BF at this point.

:lecture which in turn should just lower your cals, so yea... increasing activity, lowering cals by lower carbs, keep the protein high to keep what you have, etc...

I usually take in more for the first 30 days, but I'll drop it off as time gets closer to the comp.

For just regular losing or maintaining weight, at least a gallon.

Ski

Ok, thanks Ski!

I'll have to start tracking it closely. I do drink a lot of water, but I also drink a lot of milk (skim). I might be pushing a gallon as is, but I'll need to get more H2O into the diet instead.

And of course...increase the cardio. :thud:

Great vid of the Hodge twins. Never seen them before, but it''s true what they say. In the past I've been doing some dirty bulking too. Growing like a mutha by taking a lot of cals, but adding fat(cells) too. Now I''m a lot smaller and have real low BF%, but I still got loose skin around the abs. How the hell do I get that right?
Oh mighty Ski, maybe you got the golden tip.

Oh man Spidey.... the best thing to do is to keep building muscle (like everywhere chest, back, stomach == to stretch the skin tighter), the Hodges have a video explaining this a little more and they are spot on with what could help a little but if it's "a lot" of extra skin, surgery is about the best solution you'll find.

Here's their vid explaining it better more words that I can type.

Those two are actually pretty good and give good advice. Hope I look that good at their age. I believe they're 37-38 years old.

I also like their main channel about current events pretty funny.

(Sorry ill leave)

Thanks Ski! It's not that much, but if you want the ripped abs, it's just too much.

Small tip of the day but a great one to keep track of your intake.

For those that have iPhones and Droid phones, there's a app called My Fitness Pal which can track your intake and log all your foods and basically guide you not to go over your deficit while losing weight, it's also great for bulking and adding weight/muscle or whatever you goals are.

Search:
"My Fitness Pal" or myfitnesspal.com

Set yourself enough time, I've got all the time in the world 90+ days :lol it's gonna feel like 3 years at first but before you know it's September and it'll be 30 days out which is basically the top of the of 9th inning in baseball terms, 2 weeks out and we are in the bottom of the ninth...time to get the nose to the grind, clinch down, start shattering the earth...

So take your time, no rush!

Victor on the subject.

Cooking with Ski, here's a ground turkey recipe that I like and it surely doesn't feel like dieting. If you want
some hair on your chest, dragon breath and kicking muzzles, here yah go!!!

It's around the 300+ mark in sodium which is still pretty low for a meal but with the amount of water we are intaking it
should elimate any water retention.

First all, your ingredients:
1) 1lb Ground Turkey 99% Lean
2) 1 cup+ of green pepper
3) 1 cup+ onions
4) 1 cup+ of mushrooms
5) 2 8oz cans of tomato paste, herb & garlic is what some more sodium although it's still 200mg+
6) low sodium McCormick Chili Mix
7) 1 cup+ of water, maybe 1.5 if it looks too dry

Brow the meat:

Add ingredients and tomato paste::

It should look something like this:

Meal of Protein, low carbs and fats (20-24 Almonds):

Just remember what ol' Ski does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Ski just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it."

I pretty much make the same recipe but except for the tomato paste I use 4 jalapeños and siracha.

PS - I have a six demon bag

Looks and sounds great. I'm definitely trying that recipe.

Ski - thanks for the recipe! I'm hoping to try that out at some point this week. :duff

Question, though...you're married, right? If so, do you both eat the same thing at mealtime, or does she make something entirely different?
Just trying to figure out if I go higher proteins how I'll handle things with the wife.

Thanks for any advice you can provide!
If you would rather PM me, that's fine, too.
