I'm guilty of supplementing with shakes, but I try to get as much natural protein as possible and there's a lot of chicken, eggs, and fish in my diet.

Yup I always try to tell ppl, get more food in, there's nothing like real food.

Eas Myoplex (Arsenic, Cadmium)
Muscle Milk-Chocolate (Cadmium, Lead)
Muscle Milk-Vanilla Crème (Lead)

Muscle Milk is just too fattening in itself, once I read all the ingredients in the tub I gave it away and dumped the rest of that crap.
 
I've always known MM was crap.(has MSG as well) Not surprised about EAS as well. Gotta sometimes go with what costs more.
 
So I got a question for a recent concern:

I've been getting back into the swing of things for the past three months (ice hockey 2-3 times a week & weightlifting 3-4 times a week) I haven't been lifting INSANELY heavy or anything, just going to build up my strength again....... Just this past week I've noticed that I'm starting to cramp up and fatigue quickly (mainly my abs tightening up and my upper/inner thighs are tense and pretty sore). I'm thinking this is dehydration? What do you guys think?

I drink water all day, everyday. So I'd be surprised if it's dehydration, but who knows.... :dunno
 
Maybe you're overdoing with your current athletic activities? Maybe you're simply not drinking enough while working out? Maybe you're routine is causing you to overwork muscles and hence the cramping? It could be really many things.

I know if I was in a situation like yours I'd do a few things. Really be aware of how I'm working my body during exercise time. If I start to cramp, I'd relax the muscles and then figure out what I was doing that was causing the issue and hopefully start working my muscles in a better fashion. If the problem still persisted I'd add more water intake and a little less exercise time. If is still occurred then it's doctor time.

But that's just me and how I would handle it. Hope you're able to find the root of the problem soon and reverse it.

90 degrees here in Saint Louis MO, da SKI puts on his thermal, a Body Armor sweater over that, cranks the heater in the car to FULL BLAST (all windows closed). Can't nuttin stop me, stupid sun!!!!

10 egg whites with Tabasco sauce (..sauce...), 12 almonds and 1 cup of veggies with more Tabasco sauce (..sauce...)

Gonna wanna watch Conan The Barbarian on NetFlix stream, some Vince Natural and Pumping Iron for the night caper.

Might watch some Prince of Persia tonight with the ladie
if there's enough after she gets back with spending my money! :(

Good info on the eggs, only reason I eat egg whites is because of the strict macros that I follow with fat intake, I usually allow 10-12 grams of fat per meal, if I were to eat all eggs then that would blow my macro of out the water for the day within one meal and sitting.

Good info!!!! Don't be scared of just a couple eggs in a meal, he's right they are good for you.

I just went poo. I'm still sore from moving this week. Second floor apartment rocks....except when you're going up and down about 100x to carry up all your crap. I have to find a new gym because the Anytime Fitness that is in my area is approximately 35 minutes away.
 
Congrats BAM, no congrats on the stress and malnourishment.

Full steam ahead on the cardio twice a day, I worked out all weekend and it's time to get extra shredded!

Gonna try for 7 days straight no rest at twice a day cardio this week, that's the goal, usually it's around 4-5 times a week.
 
Update:
I've lost a total of 30 pounds. :)

The last 10 pounds were through stress and malnutrition. :lol

I always speed read and scan while looking through the threads, and Bam I had to reread your post. I swore you wrote something else.:)
