It's fair, but Denny also said something else important, it's that he will not be able to please everyone. It's more than true.

The nitpicking of customs, which are hand created unlicensed works created by the community has risen in a level in tandem to the criticism the lisence holder mass production companies receive, that is to say that there is a lot more dissatisfaction going on around here, albeit there is still a level of respect heled for the creators.

But that also means with more critisism here all civility and sensitivity is now completely absent from the mass releases. To a point where itls actually a little obnoxious.

When I saw bane pictures yesterday the first thing I thought of, literally the first was an already existing ssf thread with 25 pages o complaints, I was wrong. It was 50 pages. I guess I must have been a little late to the party, without reading much I mockingly did a post where I faked complaints over things like body size, jacket color, strap placement etc. but it was quickly drowned out in pages and pages of ACTUAL complaints about exactly that! I'm an intermediate Nolan had so maybe I just don't care enough but the whole experience just irritated me. I believe I won't look at that thread again until I actually get the figure and I'm excited about it.

The fact of the matter is this, quality and innovation rises, expectation rises, price rises and then the demands rise too. Eventually this hobby will bottom out, it has to right now we're in the thick of things.

Yup, it is bottoming out! That's why we got to get it while the gettins' good. Only a few key peices will stand the test. I think this one has potential. Everyone can't be satisfied that's a reality, but I can respect if Denny & Team make a valid effort (fattening, lol) to make a tweak, not just say new paint new angle, Done.

Just to try and be as helpful as possible heres my input.

The sculptor nailed the facial features, as you can clearly see here :

It's when you pull back and get the whole head, you see the weakness, which to me and seemingly everyone else is indicating the shape of the head and hairline is what's causing the problem. I really hope you can find a way to keep that face but correct the head, it's so close to being perfect, it just needs a little push. Tony is one of the very greatest tv characters ever, and high in the running for all time and deserves a great figure. Again it's so close, please don't give up yet.

I would think the hairline should be easy to correct, I don't know about the shape of the the rest of his skull.

Its right there man its right there. Iminime team is almost at the finish line and they need that final push.

Fracking hell! When you see the face it clearly is so perfect! That almost looks like a photo. I would say that is as good if not better than the Bill sculpt if your talking facial resemblance.

It really is which makes it that much more frustrating if the changes arent made. I won't repeat the suggestions as they have been mentioned already and it seem we all pretty much agree.

I know your going to shoot me down for saying it, but I do think more angles might help us come to a better decision. I have a feeling the shape/size of the head isn't all that off

The hairline is definately wrong regardless of angle, it never receeded that far, Earlier seasons he practically had a combover and then started slicking it straight back but he never looked that bald imo. Luckily that should be easy to just sculpt over top of a bit if it is a problem.

Dont want to blow in the things, but let me just be clear on a couple of things which I think are being speculated and blown out of proportion

i remember before this project started, you've acted in a way to calm our desires of wanting a tony figure. you've posted so many times that this won't happening, it's not interesting for the asian market and it should have been better if denny would take your wishings of doing some sherlock figures etc.

I said what was true (the asian market thing) and what seemed logical (the pull of Sopranos to some other big named licenses) that it was unlikely IMO Simply because I dont see iminime's releases being AS left field as Rainman. But again here I stated my opinion and you believe Im influencing or telling him not to. I can understand why Aaron gets flack. I have always said you people overestimate what influence I have. Which is none... If I really do put down other peoples voices I must be doing a lousy job, that should tell you Im not threat. You are getting your Tony figure arent you? And believe me I was thrilled for Aaron getting his Tony and that too by Rainman.. I was the first to congratulate him after Denny broke out the news to me that it would be made. Aaron was the most vocal of all others... and he deserved it. (So technically Aaron has more 'pull' than me... ironically till now I havent managed to get a single want of mine done and you guys talk about my influence)

then telling us here that this is a final sculpt, there will not be any updates on the sculpt etc.

Read my post CAREFULLY, I said This seems like its in the test painting stage so it MAY be the final sculpt as generally sculpts are approved before being put through test paint. You seem to take that as FACT not my opinion

then in the matrix thread, everyone screams out loud for wanting to buy some of the neo headsculpts alone, and you've posted here that you're going to advice denny NOT to sell some neo sculpts alone. it's not the only situation where you've stated this that you're going to advice denny not to do this or that, because there were a lot of interests here.

I am entitled to give my advice, just like you all give yours about selling Neo heads. From my POV I wont think like that on the Tony sculpt cause I know, a Tony recast isnt going to be all that lucrative and the market is more niche for it, those who want it will get it. Simple logic from my end.
Just because my opinion is antagonistic to what some people want I can see there is a lot of resent against me. Simply because my stand on this is different?

you're stating that you're not an employee of iminime but you're acting so if you're the ceo and trying everything to calm our desires down. i think you're interfering too much in those things. let these things be a part between the potential buyers and denny himself.

See this is exactly my point, Im flattered that you guys actually take my suggestions and opinions as binding laws and decisions when time and time again I have vociferously stated that the final decision is on Denny I will give my input just as you all do. Denny can vouch whether I 'interfere' in his projects. I have a day job I have my own work to handle, somehow you see me in this elevated position of influence where what I say becomes Denny's desicion! THats grossly overestimating things.

Frankly even if after my constant disclaimers that Denny will take his desicion, these are my personal opinions you guys feel 'threatened' that what I say if it doesnt go with your suggestions may overrule your input and voice, then thats simply your own insecurity and lack of confidence in Denny

there is no need from you to interfere and give denny advices what he has to do even there are a lot of people who are asking kindly for some improvements or chances to buy some parts. it's not your decision to say "no, this sculpt is final", or "i will advice denny to not sell seperate headsculpts".

Again, you are just putting words out there. I NEVER state whether a sculpt is final unless I get confirmation from Denny himself. And please quote my post where I said this sculpt is final etc etc

As I have already explained earlier, and I dont want to say it again, you grossly overestimate, and what you call interference is my asking of Denny for constant updates on ALL his projects to updat any news I can on the thread, irrespective of whether I am buying it or not. Till now I have bought 2 figures from iminime, but I have communicated for all their releases irrespective of wether I was interested or not.

I can infer only one thing... Some of you guys are just a little too insecure whether your voice will be heard by Denny, and that you (inspite of my clear disclaimers) believe my opinions and suggestions are gospel truth. Sheesh seems like I cant post my opinions or sugestions on any thread of Iminime releases without being seen as an interference to others suggestions and opinions!

This is a thankless duty. I do it simply because I really admire Iminime and look upto Denny as a fantastic teacher. Patient and Soft Spoken. Im not doing this to get some perfunctory thanks for making it possible or thanks for the update. However people are quick to blame me if they think Im not communicating others suggestions to Denny (or deliberately Supressing them) which I think is the MOST INSULTING THING Ive ever faced on these boards. Seriously armysoldier74b you have the nerve to even say something like that? As a rebuttal to me stating that its difficult to please people or that its a lot of nitpicking?? I dont think I deserve to hear something that insulting.

I can see a lot better why Aaron gets flack because of his relationship with Rainman. Sometimes I think being the middle man has a lot more downs than ups simply because every word you say is taken as fact/news from the source so fast that sometimes your opinions and personal feelings are automatically regarded the same. And when they are not in line with some others, you have automatically been regarded to have turned to the Dark Side.

Which leaves the best option of not publicly expressing my feelings in any iminime release thread.

So whatever 'influence' I will wield from now on will be from 'behind the scenes'

When I first looked at this I saw perfection. Sure I don't watch the show or anything, but I know what the guy looks like and I think some people here are getting greedy. It's certainly rainmans best sculpt in recent memory and you guys should be grateful you have a chance of owning such a beautiful figure

But whatever, if you want to piss all over Iminimes work that's fine with me. Because it'll be you who suffers for it in the future
