P.S I am glad Denny said whatever he had to say about feasability of making certain mods... I hope you guys really watch the video till the end... and for closeups of the sculpt use the previous video I linked

Great video Denny. You are a gentleman my friend.

I seriously think that Tony is perfect. I think it should be left alone. Looks absolutely spot on to me. I would love to see more pictures of both sculpts with the different eye position.

I also think more pictures from different angles would help show off this beauty.

Denny, thank you so much for making that video, very kind of you to take your time out and do that.

I do agree that the bottom of the face, the cheeks, the neck all look ok.

I do still feel that the hair could use a little thickening up around the top of the head and the hairline could be brought down a little on the top part of his forehead where he is balding and this could help overall.

Oh and I would personally prefer a leather jacket and long black pants with a bowling striped shirt over the bathrobe if we can only have one outfit. Thanks again.

Can't imagine the hair mod to be a problem. Can anyone do a PS manip side by side the original to show where the changes need to be made and how the hair mod could enhance the sculpt?

That would be the best look for Tony maybe a token cigar to finish the look

:lecture Cigar would be great also a wedding ring sculpted on the hand if at all possible.

Heres an old Tony bash I did with Z's head, never got around to painting the jacket, Ray F's is a bit nicer and more complete then mine.

I think it shows the overall shape of his head a bit more accurately, but Denny and RM's sculpt definately has the better facial features.

No disrespect to Ray or Z but in my eyes Iminime/Rainman have the far superior sculpt.

Looks good dec nice touch with the ring attention to detail is what makes these models work looking forward to more pictures off Denny with the progress of Tony and the final outfit..lecture

Denny, is it possible to show us what the sculpt looks like on a body with some clothes so that we can get a sense of proportion. Maybe the head is fat enough, but Id like to see a mock set up of the full figure to get a better idea. I think this will determine better results.

My suspicions were correct. When looking at Tony in profile on the video you can clearly see he is plenty fat enough. I honestly believe it is perfect. I actually think to make him bigger would send the sculpt backwards in terms of quality and accuracy.

I believe what is throwing people off is the neck on the sculpt. Gandolfini has no neck. His shoulders are very broad and he hunches over/slouches when he sits.

The video shots of the sculpt look great in my eyes.

I also agree that it needs to sit on a body for people to get a better perspective.

I can't stress enough that if you want this you need to flood Denny with your support. The feeling I got this morning when I spoke to him was that he was unsure whether to sell this or not :(

I emailed Denny this morning using the address he provided a few pages back.

Told him I can't commit to anything without seeing the final product, but I am, at least somewhat interested.

Wow. This thread is...wow.

rainman seems to have had major issues with basic head shape as of late. Wonka, PeeWee, Alfred and this all off on the point.

I dunno man just watched both the videos Denny posted and really liking that Alfred. Looks far better in the video than the pics much much better

I think there is more than enough early support for Skipper. Why threaten to cancel the project? Many people haven't even caught on to the thread yet. It would be a very unprofessional move to tease us with a sculpt and then back out because of a few suggestions. I hope this is not the case.

Holy crap. Have had limited internet access the past week and haven't been keeping up with this thread. I though this figure was a dead cert but now it's dependent largely on interest garnered through this forum?

Email sent to Denny.

I understand those who would like changes made to this sculpt, but for me, I'll buy it as is. Hope this gets the green light.

Hi guys. thank you so much all of you guys opinion. I will take some time to take both painted heads to show you in next week.
this project was decided because I saw the passion of people who wants us to make it. I asked rainman to help me for this although he wasnt very sure about the character.
regardless of sales, this project was stated on my own to show you guys who want tony. I want to keep this for those who want it.

just what i am not very sure is. will be modification can make it much better? or not. this is my concern. I have had many experiences and sometimes result was worse. because it's just different than the photoshop. adding more fat changes many thing. the eyes would look smaller and the balance can be worse. not 100%. it's just my experience.

it's fairly fat already. but i am afraid it could make the rest of shapes unbalanced after adding fat.
modIfiying hair is ok. not difficult. but cheecks are very different. it means whole face should be reconsider. it's risky work.
photoshopped one is just easy but when it comes to 3D shape. it will look different.

anyway. i will take more photos and show you to get some feedback for painting. eye posisioning is different. others are similiar.

I am not in a hurry for this. so if i get very reasonable improvement data. then i will talk to the master what his idea would be.

thank you very much for taking time to send me opinions. i really appreciate it.

i also thank you friends sent me kinds words on our work.
how kind and generous of you.

i am open minded and will consider many things.

have a good weekend

Denny.
