It was previewed last week...

And??? My point is lcummins and quite a few seem unable to grasp this, is that SS should have a system whereby we in the EU don't have to shop in the early hours of the morning if we want to be in with a chance of getting something, it's unreasonable and unfair. It's also quite clear to me that the people on here who don't have a problem with this either A) live in the US or B) don't have jobs that require an early start or require one to be 100% sharp and have had a night's sleep. We're not all night owls, is that allowed?? because I get the feeling from the retorts I keep getting that it's uncool to be in bed by midnight and want or indeed NEED to get a night's sleep!!
Stop assuming everyone on here is in the same boat as you.

The sideshow newsletter always goes up around the same time, give or take 30 minutes. If it was a problem for me checking it when I was asleep, I would check into one of these...

I am not trying to be rude, but why not just wake up and pre-order what you want, then go back to sleep? Sometimes I get up in the middle of the night to get water, check stuff online, drop a deuce, etc. I feel for the EU people, but in the regards of the newsletter, I just don't see the problem.

True enough, the bust was previewed last week but who knew or expected there to be an excl., much less one with a very low ES? Personally, I just assumed we were getting an Uruk-Hai bust pre-order with an ES TBD at a later date, and something that would be around for several weeks before selling out.

Once again Woodsy you nailed it thanks, I assumed the same thing IF indeed there was going to be a PO I didn't expect to wake up to a sold out sign.
If there is going to be an ES that low whatever it is, why wasn't it pre posted that it would go on sale? It's just plain annoying and for any collectors out there who think it's petty or funny I hope it doesn't happen to you any time soon. I love collecting and have done so for many years and stuff like this is just BS from a company such as SS, this is predominantly an INTERNET company that means WORLDWIDE and they need to start offering service on that level in this regard. I am as tired of this now as you all are, I am sorry to have ranted on and on, I am just pissed off and this isn't what collecting should be about IMO.

I logged on at 8:30pm here on the east coast and it already had a low quantity bar of about 80 pcs left.

I'm not sure how early it hit the site for pre-order but by 9ish it was sold out.

I went on at 2:25 (NZ Time) about 5:25 (US Time) and it was sold out

I was refreshing the site when the new items went on sale. The EX. Uruk-Hai was the first item I clicked on. At that time it already had a low quantity bar. It would not surprise me if the ES is only 100.

So some of you honestly expect people in the EU to get up in the middle of the night just incase there's something of interest to order?! Like WoS said if SS had given a heads up at least then okay (maybe), but how many weeks have gone by with no LotR news at all - were we supposed to get up then every week "just incase"?? As I said before, what was wrong with a PPO? They're doing one for Legolas this Friday - the time won't suit everyone but I don't see many complaints about it - at least everyone has a few days notice to at least try and sort something out to be able to order one. Why not the same for this bust?

The cynic in me thinks this is may be marketing ploy to try and reinject some interest in the LotR line. Next time something gets announced everyone will leap on it just incase the ES is really low and it sells out extremely fast again. They did it before with the Newborn Uruk if memory serves....

The newsletter went up at approx. 5:22 PST and sold out at approx. 6:03 PST. I think you mentioned somewhere before about getting on the waitlist somewhere around 6:25.

no one is ever 100% sure what will show up in any givin newsletter. might be a second chance for a long sold out EX or a super low edition size product. if catching that item is soooo important for you EU folks....go to bed early on wednesday night and wake up for a half hour or so and check that letter. with it being released in the middle of the night at least most of you have a chance to catch it. not everyone over here works 9-5 jobs. you know how many newsletters/PPO's I've missed because I'm at work? and SS doesn't put out the letter exactly at the same time to keep ALL OF US on our toes and looking forward to getting on there site to see what we can get.
