Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Anyone else think Norman was horrible in this episode? That was easily the worst piece of acting he's done for the show, Horrible lines too. So forced.

I'm not sure if it was Norman that was bad, but I don't like that little turn the writers are going to give his character. Obviously, he was a little pissed about trying to look for the girl that was about 100 yards from him the entire time, but he was just pissed off for the sake of being pissed off at everybody.

Dale is also a baby sitter. So we can add that to his resume.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Some other thoughts after a second viewing - at this point I'm assuming you've watched this week's episode, along with the sneak peak, but I suppose I'll still use the spoiler tag. If you've seen those episodes, there's nothing here that's a spoiler:

For those of us that believe the CDC guy told Rick that everyone is infected with the virus that makes them a zombie, and that when you die you become one with or without the bite, we got some proof this week. Rick takes the time to shoot the fat guy in the head!

Also, we don't know that this outside group is a bunch of bad guys - there's no reason to believe that the two guys in the bar are indicative of the overall group any more than perhaps Shane or Hershel would be overall indicative of Rick's group. But when these outsiders come looking for their scouts, they are going to find them shot and killed - not a good sign.

Which is why Shane (and Andrea's) logic is flawed - if there were no third person for them to save, there would be a war for sure. The outsiders are going to come looking for the killers of their friends, and when they find them, kill them, whether the outsiders are 'good guys' or 'bad guys'. If there is a third person for them to save, at least they would have a chance of having that person explain, and perhaps stop a war between survivors. It's still a crap shoot, depending on how the other group reacts, but if Shane and Andrea think these other people aren't going to come searching for them (and find them) whether they save some kid or not, they're the ones living in denial.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Only if someone else was watching - he's shown that he's exactly who you DON'T want at your back in a fight - ask Otis.

And that thing with Lori - all the good writing in the episode and series is completely undermined by this incredibly stupid plot development. There was absolutely no motivation for her to get in a car and go to town.

Maybe she was going to town for a breast pump....planning ahead you know.:rotfl

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Dale is also well read. So he's got that going for him too.

Yea, Shane having his back didn't work out so well for Rick either - he was shot and almost killed, then left to die at the hospital :D

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

He was. I don't know, it was just a bad scene. And he's always the best. Which is why I was disappointed with his three, horrible lines.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that scene, just a difference in opinions. I saw nothing wrong with his performance.

BTW...Nam is still here and he's on right now.

It's cool. Didn't bother me too much. I know he's a great actor, and he's easily my favorite character.
