Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Some thoughts about Rick and Shane:

I think Shane will eventually be killed in the show. But I think he will last even longer than this season. Someone mentioned it would be great to see Shane butt heads with the Governor. That would be cool wouldn't it?

Shane doesn't seem as crazy to me as he did earlier in the season, his actions make more sense now. He's not one to really explain himself, but after seeing his development up until now....I get him.

I also think Rick agrees with many things Shane does, but Rick is too attached to his feelings. Shane would have killed Randall and slept fine that night, not Rick.

I haven't read the comics, but everyone says the Governor is ruthless....I could maybe see Shane taking the lead roll in the group from Rick when they encounter the Gov. Shane would have the toughness to deal with him, I don't think Rick's peaceful negotiations would work.

:slap

Shane's demise has already been well documented. Sorry but he doesn't make it past this season.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

:exactly: Someone needed to call that selfish ______ out. I'm liking Andrea more and more.

Lori had a point too though. Just because Andrea can shoot now, she's starting to think her ____ don't stink. Tricking Maggie to get her out of her sister's room was the height of hubris. Both she and Lori needed taking down a peg.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

After you mentioned thinking it was a daydream, I rewatched the ending to see if Shane still had the blood from the fight on the side of his head as he stared out the window, and he did.

Really? Because that was the first thing I noticed that he wasn't bloody. His lip, nose, etc. I didn't see it.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Do not read if you haven't read the comic...

IF Shane does make it into season 3 and faces the Governor, I wonder if he'll take the place of Tyreese who was beheaded by the Governor?

But Andrea was right, wasn't she? Not that I care that much for her, but I don't blame her not wanting to play house while the men are out doing their thing as Lori put it. She talked about trying to keep things normal. That's long gone honey.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Every show has to have an A**Hole and Shane is this shows'......but let's face it, the world is pretty much gone, I would probably be a giant ____ too :lol

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I'm wondering that because....

Shane wasn't all bloody and beat up in the last shot of him looking out the window at the zombie. It looked like the same shot from the beginning of the show
That's what I said earlier. I think it was just a flashback. They started the show with a flashback then they showed how they got to that point.

He wasn't overly bloody but he did have a wound + a little blood on the left side of his face by his eye that wasn't there in the original shot.

Lori's point was, the men don't need Andrea's help. But the women DO. So while Andrea is out toting her gun around and trying to be one of the guys the women are having to pick up the slack with their jobs. Not to mention, as sexist as it may sound, NO ONE in that group will ever view Andrea as a "protector" like they view the other men. Regardless if she can shoot or not. And even that's debatable because let's not forget she's the same FUBAR that shot Daryl. :lol

He's my favorite character. The way he and Darryl are would probably be the way One would have to be to survive a zombie apocalypse.

It's like what Shane said "it's about survival".....point blank. What's great about the show is that both Shane and Ricks POV are valid. They can either play nice and try to keep ourselves "human" with laws/morality like the way they were before the Walkers, or they can be all about themselves and try to keep themselves alive no matter what. Both are those, to me, are viable ways of life is the world has been overrun by the undead.

Which one do you choose ??? Both have their ups and their downs. I think this season is really stressing this choice between them and I love it.

I disagree with this completely. Shane took her out and taught her to shoot. She was right there along with the guys killing the zombies at the barn. She is One of the protecters now.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

True.. but did they need her to be there shooting? Nope.

She is One of the protecters now.

Nope. There isn't a single woman there who would pick her over one of the men to protect them on a dangerous mission. And none of the guys would pick her either if they had the option to take another guy instead. All the women there would feel safer with Dale or Glen than Andrea.

And you can't blame Lori for being pissed that the other women have to pick up the slack now with Andrea toting her gun around the farm playing soldier. Like I said, they both had their points. Nobody won that argument imo.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Andrea plays a big role in the comic as being a great sharpshooter.able to sniper people and walkers.they have 6yet to make that her role on tv.she seems like a good shot but not any better than shane, rick or daryle.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Her zombie lifeless personality is better then Andrea's.

I was starting to like her again too.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

That's exactly what I think, Specially Darryl, the people that know how to hunt and that can live on the Land and know about the land are the first ones to survive, all of us those who are safely and comfortably behind a computer would probably be the first zombies of the outbreak LOL,

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

What do you guys think was the significance of the lone zombie in the field walking around that Shane kept to himself at the beginning and the end?
