"We've had another winter..."

Really? Why do they keep skipping winter completely. No one dies, fights ever in the entire winter?

I also wonder what this new threat is, not man, not walker.

Clearly all the zoo animals that escaped have been breeding and theres now thousands of stray hungry big cats with a thirst for red meat.

Im not sure if this was mentioned previously.
‘Walking Dead’ Season 4 Spoilers: Zombie Baby To Be Featured In Premiere Episode?WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD“Walking Dead” fans were teased in late June about some horrors to expect in the season four premiere … but no one was expecting this. The latest scoop on episode one, “30 Days Without An Accident,” is that it will include a zombie baby.Yep, you heard that right! Viewers have seen small children zombies on the hit AMC series, and now we’ll also get infant babies. Executive producer Greg Nicotero revealed to TV Guide that “there’s a little hint of [a zombie baby] in the premiere.”This "little girl" was the first zombie to be seen when "The Walking Dead" began its first season. *AMC/ The Walking DeadNicotero, who is also the special FX makeup designer for the show, continued that fans almost got some zombie baby action in season three. Remember when Daryl and Maggie went into the day-care center to look for baby formula for Judith? Some fans may have been expecting a zombie toddler to jump out, but the show ultimately decided against it.Whether or not the zombie baby in question will be Rick’s daughter, Judith, is still a mystery. So far Judith has been kept safe, with her mother, Lori, sacrificing her own life to keep her alive. However, in the comics Judith meets an unfortunate fate. Lori survives giving birth in the graphic novels, but doesn’t get too far with Judith. While fleeing the prison during an attack from the Woodbury Army, Lori is fatally shot, and it is believed that Judith died instantly after Lori fell on her.The only other scoop that TV Guide received on the zombie baby comes from executive producer Robert Kirkman, who explained that “it’ll be something different from the baby who was seen in [2004’s] ‘Dawn Of The Dead’ Remake, which was horrific and done so well.”Other than zombie babies, “Walking Dead” fans can look forward to puppets, more walkers, mummified corpses and “zombie bites” in the season four premiere.

I do agree that perhaps the virus has mutated and now can infect the animals, too.

Carl. Carl is the reason. They can fudge everyone else's ages a bit except him. So unless they kill him off, they've got to jump each season break for him to age properly. He doesn't look 10 anymore after all.

Plus the fact they film in Georgia in the summer - not exactly easy to fake winter :lol

Are Georgia winters that much different than Georgia summers? Instead of 95 degrees is it 75 degrees?

I dont know, I live in CT, where we have real winters, or at least we used to.
