First time sellers have a 30 day or so hold on the funds until proven delivered. Some such nonsense.

Being with ebay for almost 20 years, I don't have those problems. :)

Facebook people are twice as cheap as here. They expect items to sell for 70% less than the real current price

That's what I assumed. My girl was lucky with that Living Dead Doll group, and got Beetlejuice for a reasonably price. I joined this one group "Toys Syndicate" but I don't even want to try and sell anything on there.

Hmm, been contemplating selling an item that I paid quite a lot for and I don't think I'd be likely to make that money back by selling it here. On the other hand if it were to be easy for some prick to scam me on ebay because I'm a first timer and ebay, from what I hear, tends to give benefit of any doubt to buyers - it'd be a heck of thing to lose.

I feel I'd have to start smaller to get a feel for the whole thing.

Ebay first timer
U dont want to have a zero feedback. Thats bad. Just buy a couple of cheap things first. Even 1 dollar items, like 10 or so

I've got over 100 feedback but it's all as a buyer which is hardly a good guide for how I would be as a seller, especially when buyers can't receive anything but positives.

Your best bet is to just list it everywhere and hope someone bites on it. You'll get a million stupid messages and people promising to pay but if you deal with the aggravation it will be worth it.
I sold my whole Bowen collection last year, like 55 I think, and it took forever but I made a ton of money. For every statue that sold I probably had 10 messages with someone claiming they would buy it or asking for shipping prices.

Sell local and you should be ok. Locals will be on the same page price-wise and communication-wise. I haven't sold much but what I have sold has been trouble-free.

I don't know I don't think there are any real set rules. I've had really good experiences on here and on eBay, and dodgy ones on both.
It's pot luck. Human nature we are dealing with when trying to do business transactions.

It's never straightforward.

the only problem is people asking for your number and never contacting you again or people sending you virus links to your email (or trying to hack your email account) lol, thats why if you are going to sell on craiglist you just make a brand new email for it. ive had some bad experiences with people trying stuff like that

I just go through eBay. People can complain about fees etc but those fees buy a secure, reliable and largely hassle-free transaction
