Don't recall if it's 2 or 3 years but New Jersey is the same. No point in serving every year. There's plenty of people.

I'm tired of people acting like he kicked George Washington in the balls when a lot of the people complaining probably don't know anything about George Washington except that he was our first President. A lot of people I see complaining about it are the same ones that talk **** about Obama all the time. It's ok to disrespect the POTUS (no matter what party they are) but not the anthem? Trump talks **** about how awful America is every day but he can run for President? People just have to find some cause to get behind so they look like they give a ****. It's just too bad that the issues that make them angry aren't important in the grand scheme of things. Real issues require more work than changing your FB avatar, hitting "like" on a post, or posting a meme.

It's unfortunate that someone is doing something that makes you angry, but it happens every day to everyone. People need to learn when something is a big deal and when it's not. Not standing during the anthem isn't a major issue in the grand scheme of things. He's not oppressing anyone, not making it so the troops can't do their job, not trying to make others follow his lead, etc. He didn't even make an announcement about it. The media made it a big deal and some people fanned the flames. Do you get mad when someone doesn't put their hand over their heart when it plays? Because I remember when Obama was standing during the anthem but didn't have his hand over his heart and some people went ape**** and others didn't care. Same thing here and it still doesn't matter. There is nothing in the Constitution--no law--that states anyone has to stand or hold their hand over their heart when the anthem plays. He's doing a peaceful protest to bring an issue to light and people pay attention because he's a celebrity. There are a lot of disgruntled people in this country that aren't happy with how things are here--it's been that way for a long time no matter who has been President--and no one listens to them because they're not famous or don't play football. At least he's not raping, murdering, beating his spouse, doing drugs, dog-fighting, etc. like some other guys in the NFL--all of which were allowed to continue to play the game and whose fans eventually explained away their conduct or forgave them--as long as they make touchdowns and tackles. But God forbid someone doesn't stand during the anthem.

I get what you're saying but don't think you're seeing both sides of the issue he's protesting. To say there are people in this country that aren't victimized or that they are solely the cause of their poverty/social standing is naive. Not everyone has the same opportunities, no matter what people like to say. People love to say that America is #1, but the country hasn't been able to back that up in awhile. Other countries are surpassing us in every field, including freedom. Some people in this country, whether they're black, poor, Native American, male, female, or whatever, are at a disadvantage that they won't be able to overcome by themselves. Determination only gets you so far. You say "why don't people not riot and burn down their own towns" and I agree with you that that type of response is ridiculous. However, I think it's just as ridiculous that there have been unarmed black people shot and killed for no reason. I think it's ridiculous that American citizens that are Muslim are somehow considered not American citizens because of their religion by some people in this country.

I honestly don't get what people are angry about. Are people angry that he's not happy with how black people in the US are treated and said so or is it that he didn't stand during the anthem? A lot of what I see online is that people are more angry about him not standing than the issue behind it. I see a lot of people angry about how he's disrespecting the troops somehow--I think mainly because accusing someone of dishonoring our troops seems to be an argument that is an automatic "win". It's pulled out every time someone does something that someone else considers "unamerican", regardless of the offense.

It'd be interesting to see a white player or player that was doing well in their football career do the same thing and see how people would react. It's also interesting to see some soldiers respond positively to what he's doing. In the end, people are going to think what they want and react how they want. I just noticed that this has gotten a much bigger negative reaction than some other players have gotten for actually committing crimes, and I don't get it.

Good stuff Zod. I didn't want to chime in because it's impossible for me to be impartial on this and I really don't feel like explaining what it feels like to be me when I'm on a toy forum. Man babies just want to have fun y'know.

:rock It's a touchy subject that I wouldn't normally discuss on a toy forum but I think I hit my limit today with people being "outraged" and "disgusted" by him. I'm much more comfortable bitching about the fact that I still don't have a quality Terence Stamp Zod figure.

I wouldn't mind it so much if it wasn't for my mother. When I'm working I run home during my break to check on her since I work about a half mile away, plus if she needs me, I can go right home. I have to travel to the county seat to serve, and that has me gone 10 hours or more. She'd be in a panic the entire time.

Most people just think he's a dbag, and they're right. If he spent half as much time studying his playbook and film as he does on being a selfish as he probably wouldn't be on the verge of being cut.

Wasn't he in Young Guns? One of these upstart companies should be able to get the rights to that very easily, then you'd have a Terence Stamp without the hefty Marvel/DC license fee added on to the price.

Enjoy it while she is still around. Strange how Mr. Green wish his mom is still around. Strange, still, is how young people want to move out and be independent. One can understand how a mom doesn't want to loose her son/daughter; good one anyway.

Blaming "white people" for the problems of "black people" is racist, and if all the racists in this country would simply shut the **** up, the rest of us will make you all a great big cake.

I just think the pig socks were in poor choice. He wants people to listen to him and yet those who he wants to listen are now turned off by his insensitive choice in socks.

It's not really that he is representing change, he's being perceived as representing that those who have experienced loss for that flag are basically now questioning if they died for nothing. Veterans are already struggling with the meaning of serving. Being insensitive towards police is one thing, but the flag encompasses more meaning to people including veterans. Some may not understand how the flag can mean so much to others. it's just a respect thing. Our country hasn't experienced a full out war in a long time and thus don't understand what that flag represents. In sum, whatever it is that he had hoped to stand for and accomplish has fallen mostly of def ears now with the insensitive comments and garments. He probably isn't aware of this but communication in this country has stalled for the foreseeable future.

Somebody's triggered.

Well I agree with your point about deaf ears.

Triggered? Blow me.

Try having a rational (means you can't contradict yourself) explanation for your allegedly unimpeachable position on race in this country, and then open your mouth. I'll listen respectfully.

In 1980s South Africa I was granted 'honorary white' status. The white folk were clearly confused by the idea of a half Chinese-half European Australian, so they just called me 'white'. In Australia, I'm very much considered Asian, ie a minority.

I've been on both sides of the 'privilege' fence. I've seen first hand how privilege and access is afforded or denied, depending on the colour of your skin.

I understand that when a white Australian tells me there's no such thing as 'white privilege' in this country that this is a logical conclusion to make when one hasn't been personally confronted by denial of access. But they're still wrong and hopefully one day they'll recognise this.

this all boils down to **** sizing.

honorary white status still cant get over big black dicks.

damn apartheid only seeing black and white.
they don't acknowledge the other spectrum of the rainbow.
