i get to meet diverse groups, nationalities across the spectrum.
i cant help myself but come up and develop preconceived "stuffs" on certain groups.
some groups do come down with similar patterns, its not that hard to deduce and extrapolate.

perks of working in a prison i suppose.

When people identify their culture with their race, certain behaviors are bound to repeat themselves in apparent accordance with skin color, phenotypes, etc. Cultures are sets of ideas, and ideas are the cause of actions. The more abstract an idea, the broader its behavioral consequences. Since most people aren't inclined to anything more than the most shallow self-reflection, it's easy for them to assume that their own behavior is racially determined. The next logical step is to assume that others act in strict accordance with their anatomical characteristics as well.

Recognizing this phenomenon is not racist. It's closer to recognizing the racism of others.

do note that i dont generalize the whole "lot" just because i get to meet almost all of their rotten eggs in my work place.
i do get the idea that most rotten eggs from "lot A" are more prone to such offenses i.e male-assaults-female. factor in their culture, societal norms, demographics, even their religion which somehow re-enforces that.
now they come to a country like NZ, where we dont take those for a pass.
my country, my rules, so play nice. and that's what i see here. some of them cant adapt and integrate accordingly.

on the flipside. when my friend found out i didn't get the spca volunteer spot because of my work schedule, she asked me to tag along another volunteer stint, refugee assistance thingy.
and i met good, decent, respectable people and ate interesting food. so if these folks can make it, i'm wondering what the others excuses are.lolz

i hate that NZ is too soft and chummy on this issue. we cant deport certain individuals because they will be killed if they return to their country. rubbish.

I can't believe none of my figures or statues fell because my displays were shaking like crazy and I don't use stands for my 1/6 figures. I'll have to check the house for damage because it felt like it was going to come down. Looks like it was a 5.6 about 20 miles from here.

I don't think she's actually a **** but I did find her outrage at being labeled one amusing considering how judgey she is towards everyone else.

And also, put a shirt on FFS. I wear a t-shirt in the pool to spare bystanders. I bet she doesn't courtesy flush, either.

Yeah, I read about it but IMO it came off more of her describing innocent childhood curiosity through the filter of her "edgy" sense of humor. Comedians do it all the time. She just got called out on it because she's comfortable publicly scolding other people.

That's my take, anyway. If she really did something malicious then i hope she falls down a manhole.

Plus she almost ruined a guys life by lying about being abused just because he turned her down. If it wasnt for video evidence that guys life would be hell......shes truly disgusting

Huh. Well, I've never seen any excerpts that describe her being sexually "active" with her younger sister at that late age and I'm not about to read her book. From what I do know from the quotes I've read it seems innocent enough.

But I also think she's a judgemental a-hole so I've got no sympathy for her. Outside of people who intentionally do bad things to others my next-least-favorite is people who twist and simplify the words and experience of others into something they can be offended about to advance their agenda. This might be either, or both. I'm glad it's not up to me to sort 'em out.
